Pat and Bob Posted September 30, 2022 Report Posted September 30, 2022 First cruise Aug. 2023 on Independence of the Seas for both of us. Our Daughter use to cruise on Carnaval and told the wife they had tours onboard, namely the kitchen. The wife wants to know if there are kitchen tours on Royal ships? Thanks for any info. Quote
USCG Teacher Posted September 30, 2022 Report Posted September 30, 2022 There is the "All Access Tour," which has recently returned after a COVID inspired hiatus. It takes you into the kitchen and provisions areas, the engineering control room, the bridge and the laundry area. It was very interesting and informative, I enjoyed it a great deal! Ryan79 Posted September 30, 2022 Report Posted September 30, 2022 RCL does have a ship tour that goes to the kitchen, but the last price I saw was about $190 per person. $190 per person is better spent on 4 specialty restaurant dinners than one tour, in my opinion ChessE4 and USCG Teacher 2 Quote

Mike n Ky Posted September 30, 2022 Report Posted September 30, 2022 This brings to mind a question...can you get a free tour if you hit a certain C&A level? D now and haven't been offered one so perhaps D+ or Pinn? Quote
CrznTxn Posted October 1, 2022 Report Posted October 1, 2022 There is a behind the scenes tour for D+ and Pinnacle but they have not restarted it that I know of. Can't wait when they do. Mike n Ky 1 Quote

That's a bit steep... Quote
rjac Posted October 1, 2022 Report Posted October 1, 2022 We, too, have done the All Access Tour. Very informative and fascinating. Be prepared you will have to wear pants and closed toe shoes (no shorts, flip flops nor sandals). Quote
Mike n Ky Posted October 1, 2022 Report Posted October 1, 2022 I am sure I am not the only one that is on this blog that has watched the cruise ships show on Smithsonian. Watching those has piqued my interest about visiting those operational areas of the ship. As such I will be watching the prices and since I am close to D+ that they will bring that benefit back. You are absolutely not the only one!! I watch those all the time. My family says that I’m too obsessed with cruise ships when I’m watching, but I counter with “Does such a thing exist?” I think not!!
