Sstj
Can those who have recently sailed talk about the disembarkation process? Is it taking significantly longer than pre-Covid? How difficult is it to get a cab to the Miami airport? We fly carry on only which alleviates some added chaos. However in January 2020 we got sent to the “search your bag” line and had pre-arranged transportation to the airport in Ft Lauderdale. Thanks in advance! We carried our own luggage off Oasis a few weeks back. We were off the ship at 7:15 am and there were cabs waiting.

BrianB
There can be differences depending on the ship and the port…I have been on Oasis and Anthem, both out of Port Liberty NJ. I always do self-disembark with my luggage. Pre-Covid, there was priority disembarkation for Key members but not now. They say it’s for physical distancing purposes so Key members don’t congregate in the ShoreEx area like we did before. So now we add to the long line of congregated passengers waiting to walk off. As soon as the ship is cleared, depending on the port authorities, we go. Sometimes this can be as early as 6:45…sometimes later. This past Friday it was about 7:10, and the line was very long, and crowded, by then. Other factors can affect disembarkation such as weather, current and medical emergencies changing the ship’s arrival time. But passengers still line up early. It can be frustrating but I don’t mind. I like being one of the first off, in the garage, in my car and home early. Also, Bayonne has the facial recognition iPads instead of showing your passport to a CBP officer. Lower your mask, look at the screen, get a green check mark …and go!

We wouldn't want you to get into a crowd of other Key members. Instead, let's get you into the crowd with ALL of the other 6000 passengers ! Swar
Last month, the Key got us off early from IOTS out of Port Canaveral. Two weeks ago, the Key was listed as priority/early embarkation categories.

CrznTxn
We carried off our luggage this past Friday in Galveston and from the time we had our Seapass scanned for the last time until we walked out of the terminal was about 15 minutes. They set up the facial recognition for Customs and that in itself was the biggest reduction in time. We literally walked from the line to the terminal, it "boxed" our face and flashed the green check mark. Really did not even stop. Hopefully CBP will set this up in all the cruise terminals in the very near future. Only bummer was we had to wait for the folks who had to pick up their luggage to get to the shuttle so we could get to our car. Sstj
So another question…going on symphony on January 8. Flying to Miami from NY state. Will we be required to Covid test upon return? Do they consider us international guests due to sailing in the Caribbean?
