Darenda
Do you need to bring cash for use in the casino? Or is this also cashless and connected to your sea pass card?
Marc
Royal Caribbean's casinos are cash-based. The use of a SeaPass card at the machines or tables is for player tracking only. You can, however, charge money on your SeaPass account at the Casino Cashier, for which they'll tack on a 5% convenience fee. J_Keeble
so say I want to play some slots, how do I do this? I was on harmony and being a casino NOOB I just put my seapass card in and expected to start spinning but nothing happened and I was too embarrassed to ask. The sea pass card only keeps track that you are playing. You can go to the cash cage in the casino, or cash machine to get cash. Cash cage can give you cash and charge it to your onboard account. Cash machine will be used for a debit card or credit card. J_Keeble
ericreev
The atm is the only electronic machine in the casino I can ever get to give me money. That's why I tend to stick to blackjack. MikeK
RC used to let you cash a personal check at guest services up to $200. I did it one time along time ago so I m not sure they still do it

You need to get cash, which you can get by... Using the cash you brought onboard. Put in the machine and start playing Get cash from the ATM onboard Get cash from casino cashier. As Marc noted, they will charge you a 5% fee. J_Keeble

Marc
They still do, although I've never done it: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/customersupport/faq/details.do?pagename=frequently_asked_questions&faqId=3908&faqSubjectId=337 I had an issue on a Majesty of the Seas cruise with them following their policy several years ago. They refused to cash my travelers checks at Guest Services. They directed me to the Casino Cashier. There, they were willing to cash the checks, but only exchange for special casino chips that had to be gambled. They were very confused on that ship/sailing.
