The first time we stopped by it was very busy, but I caught the eye of one of the servers and smiled and he found our waiter immediately. After that, we were generally recognized and always had someone at our table within a few minutes, and meals and beverages came out at a very reasonable rate with very good, friendly, service. Maybe they just have it together on Symphony. I really enjoyed Playmakers. Can I just go now? WAAAYTOOO, SebagoSue, Baked Alaska and 2 others 4

ehw51 267
We go to the Solarium Bistro on the Anthem, usually very quiet . In Nov we, have the key, so it´s Chops in the MDH. Thecatlady

GMartin32 9
We usually have a big breakfast beforehand and I get my lunch at the Pool Bar. (Might have a snack from Windjammer poolside) coneyraven
cruisellama 672
Not an elegant lunch, but to avoid the crowds on embarkation, we go to Park Central cafe when on Oasis class. Its fast, and enough to recharge as we're walking the ship. Baked Alaska, WAAAYTOOO and wstephensi 2

Quantum class ships have food for purchase in the pubs but I don't know if that is available on boarding day. Most ships don't offer food in the pub but the pub is typically a short walk to a venue that has included lunch options.

When I'm eating a specialty steak I'll generally pay the $3 or $4 uplift to a decent Cab. I may have to change to cocktails except at dinner lol

ehw51 267
Anthem is now Brass and Bock, they have't served embarkation lunch on any of the cruises we have been on. Side note: We Liked the food better when it was Michael s.
CrimsonCruiser 55
Room service! I know this probably sounds crazy given the embarkation day hecticness, but (and maybe it's cuz we get a suite) the food comes fairly quick and is always yummy. Plus we can unpack while waiting for the food to arrive (if luggage has made it to us) or just chill after the adventure of getting on the ship without bumping into the EVERYBODY. lol. In fact, in all 3 past cruises, we rarely left our room before muster because the boarding process just crowded all the halls. parkyy2k 25
We usually get on pretty early around 10:30am and head straight to Windjammers when it opens, it's never too busy early on. ehw51

I'm a party of 1 and too cheap to spend the $10 for it but on the day of, I'd gladly pay it. Good idea. ehw51

parkyy2k 25
Room service does sound a great idea but I'm always so excited to explore! also the hot tubs are usually empty around lunch time on embarkation day ehw51
twangster 25,612
Often room service dining starts at 5pm on day one. A lot of crew are tasked to turn around day activities and some services are not available. DjChefSteve 2
Absolutely my favorite lunch is going to Chops to get the Filet Mignon and having a drink. I tend to go as early as possible so we can have some exploring time on the ship! WAAAYTOOO and ehw51
