Lora
Is there anything great to do at the port in Cozumel other than shopping or do I need to do a excursion? Also...anything inexpensive? JoryikCat
RCVoyager
Take a cab to the park (Chakanaub (Spelling?)). You can swim, snorkel, swim with dolphins, eat, drink, rest. It's a nice place. Also, the last time we were there, we rented scooters. It was a fun day. Lora

PRC
A taxi to any of the beaches will give you a fun day. I'm a Paradise Beach guy myself but they are all good.
WAAAYTOOO
If you want a FREE beach, have the taxi driver take you to San Francisco Beach. It is directly next to Paradise Beach but there is no charge to get in ! There is a (acknowledged....old) swim-up bar there but it's a lot of fun...and access to the beach is free ! monctonguy
I have been there twice and going back a 3rd time to Cozumel. I have never done an excursion yet. There is so much to do and see and enjoy, I don't feel the need to try and find something to do to kill the day. And doing my own exploring and eating/drinking is usually cheaper than an excursion as well, plus I can get back on the ship whenever I want this way.
