Newbies Posted August 3, 2019 Report Share Posted August 3, 2019 Hello all, my first time posting. We're on Ovation in Sep for the 10-day Vancouver to Hawaii trip. There's currently a sale on Voom and a deluxe beverage package for $57 per day. Since there are two adults in the room we must purchase two packages, so two devices would be covered. Once you go beyond two devices that need internet plans, it is usually more cost effective to split them up and buy them separate from the beverage package. It is generally the advice of everyone here, that when you find something that is at a price you are comfortable with, buy it then. Keep an eye on the cruise planner even after your purchase because if the price does drop you can cancel the original purchase without penalty, and repurchase at the lower price. As others have said, there's not a huge difference with two people, but I usually find it slightly cheaper to get a two devices plan for VOOM and then buy one get one half off for the drink package when both are on sale. If you do NOT need two devices covered you can call up Royal and tell them you want to switch one of the packages you already have to the $57 Voom+beverage package. It is allowed for both people in the room to have different drink packages, Royal's site isn't set up to allow you to do it yourself online.
