Hoski
We just booked more cruises through Casino Royale tonight. The rep was actually laughing at my husband. He has 7 cruises booked within the next year and I have 5. Some are for just the two of us, some are for the whole family, for two he is taking friend and one he is going solo. I think we may need special meetings on board for cruise addicts. Now I need to research all the ships we will be sailing in the next year. I have 14 booked and will book more December 2019. Hoski, FManke and mom2mybugs 1 1

Enlighten me, anyone? When you use your Sea Pass in the Casino, Royal eventually figures out you are a gambler, and you get emails. If you are religious about using the Sea Pass in the Casino you accrue points. Eventually the points get you discounts. I had a lowly 10 points in my last cruise and was given an offer for 10% off on a cruise I book by tomorrow that sails within 6 months. I took a pass on that. The high rollers are the ones who earn deep discounts, etc. There have been posts about avid gamblers who claim to win and still get discounts galore. If you are interested, you need to let Royal know you like the casino. I vaguely recall a survey that asked me which on-board activities interested me... Others may have an e-mail or phone number to contact CR. FionaMG

It was the booking of cruises. @ChessE4 has explained it nicely for me.

Haha, sign me up! Congrats to you, @Hoski, @Sweetyand anyone else out there, who put themselves in a financial position to allow yourselves this indulgence! My hats off to you! DH usually makes a small nightly contribution on the slot machines but he doesn't use his sea pass so I will have to try and remember this going forward. Win or lose it is 1 point for every $5 bet. That doesn't mean you are spending all those $5 it means you've played through it. Hubby wins and he loses same with daughter and I. If you are a gambler it is a great way to cruise and gamble on the same money. 2 hours ago, FManke said: Congrats to you, @Hoski, @Sweetyand anyone else out there, who put themselves in a financial position to allow yourselves this indulgence! My hats off to you! Thank you, many years of working hard and doing without has finally paid off a little for us and hopefully it will last. We are one of those people who need the VOOM on a cruise because we are still working while on vacation. We see it as a trade off. Our life goal has been to travel more and we have instilled that in our kids. We will sacrifice other things to travel but that is our choice. rtread

Ours is similar.....years of tight budgets, doing without. Finally VA made it possible for us to move around and enjoy.....that's what we are doing!!
