CaptTJ
Hey everyone, we’re leaving on the 30th aboard the Adventure of the Seas out of Fort Lauderdale. We got an email today saying that boarding starts at 12:00pm and to arrive AFTER that time. In the past we’ve always arrived at 10-10:30ish right after checkout at the hotel. Has something changed in the last year? Just trying to get a plan in place, my daughter is two so she will not enjoy being stuck in a terminal for two hours before moving :-). Thanks! rjac
I think I read an earlier post that the ship was going to have an "in depth" cleaning. Perhaps you should give Royal a call to find out what's up, especially with the little one. Baked Alaska and CaptTJ 1
Matt
You could still arrive at 10amish, but you may be sitting in the cruise terminal for a few hours. I'm not sure what I would do in your situation. Perhaps split the difference and arrive closer to 11:30-12 just to beat the rush. But you may end up sitting around. LC2626
Our Harmony cruise leaving this Friday is telling us (and others) to not arrive til after 11:30. They say boarding will happen from 11:30-3:30. We still plan on parking by 10a and hoping to be onboard by 11. See what happens! suna
I received the same email about my serenade cruise earlier this month and I arrived at the terminal at 10h30am. I was onboard at 10h55. JennyB and CaptTJ 1
twangster
Sometimes the inspections or scheduled maintenance goes faster than expected. Since I have to check out of a hotel I tend to go to the terminal at a normal time but if we get held up and have to wait, so be it, that’s what they stated. CaptTJ
Thanks everyone! We will make a contingency plan (new toys) Just Incase we get caught up in the terminal.
Andrew72681
I always figure I can sit in a boring hotel room or sit right next to the ship. I’ll always pick the ship. WAAAYTOOO, JennyB and RickinSTL
CaptTJ
We got on no issue, no wait what so ever. However, it did seem like they had just finished disembarkation as people were still walking off into customs as we arrived. It was very busy and only got busier as we watched from our balcony. Thanks Everyone!
