TravisMA81
I haven't been on a cruise before but would love to. I was looking around to find a ballpark price for one. For example on their site there is a 7 night with the price of $609 per person. Is that price per night? Would the 7 nights be $4,200 per person? melmar02
$609 is per person for the entire cruise, not each night. It would be about $2500 plus taxes and port fees. Edit - about $2500 for 4 passengers.

Sorry - I defaulted to 4 passengers without thinking because that's how many are in my family and just rounded up. 2 passengers would be $1218 plus tax and port fees. nanowerx
That price is the 'average' price per person. Not the actual price per person. If you have two people, then yeah, it would be the price, but if you are sailing with 4, the price for the 1st two will be much higher than the listed 'average' price. twangster
The initial pricing you see is based on double occupancy - two people in the cabin. The costs to add additional guests can vary. Taxes and ports fees are not included in the initial prices you will see. The simplest thing to do is ask a travel agent for quote. Price quotes are free. You can also go through the motion of booking a cruise without actually pulling the trigger and committing. As you step through the process various items are added like the costs for additional guests plus taxes and ports fees.
Matt
There's two blog posts that I think can really help you get a better idea of what to expect: How much does a cruise cost?
