  1. So yes, assuming you have 2 people on the Symphony reservation, you will lose $200 completely (change fee) and the remaining $300 will be in the form of a Future Cruise Credit. The FCC will in the the name of those in the original reservation and only they can use it. If you have the same guests going to Alaska, then you are good. Also, the FCC has an expiry of 1 year from the date of issue (usually). Hope that helps.
  2. @WAAAYTOOO that is simply awful that they misplaced your luggage! I feel terrible for you. Does RC have a reimbursement policy in place for that sort of thing or is it only done through your insurance?
  3. I am booked as far out as itineraries allow also. March 2020 is my last booking so far. Also anxiously awaiting the next release.
  4. It's also long because some of the European ports are really far from actual places you want to visit. Caribbean ports you get off the ship and you're there. European ports you get off and you still have to take a train or some other form of transportation to get to Rome or Florence etc.
  5. Mine looks normal too. Wonky Royal website again...
  6. Yes, at any point, even after final payment. Outside of North American though, rules might vary. I have heard here that those fro the UK cannot do this. Yes, as long as it is outside of final payment. We re-price our bookings all the time outside of final payment. Again, those outside North America, rules will vary.
  7. Tim Connor starts September 22. It is unclear if it is for 2 or 4 months. If it is four months, then you are in luck. He is the best CD I have come across in all of my sailings!
  8. We have a thread here on the "People Connect" section. It's the "Master member cruise list". This list can also tell you who is sailing and when. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/2056-master-member-cruise-list/
  9. It sure is! We had 4 waiting on our bed in the JS on Anthem in March. Funny thing is that on Harmony, Hubby said that the WOW band did not work well at all. He gave up and barely used it after the first few days. On Anthem, they seemed to work much better and he and kids loved using it.
  10. Yes, the app worked for me on the August 13th sailing.
  11. If you are in a JS or above, the WOW bands are included.
  12. I think with the 4 night sailing they have to kill time because you can actually do that itinerary in 3 nights (which Mariner does). With the four night, it's the same ports and distance travelled (I'm assuming) that they have to do some drifting. When we sailed Mariner last month on the 4 night, we left Coco Cay and the next day was a sea day but the ship barely moved. It was crawling along in the morning and by afternoon it came to a full stop in the middle of nowhere.
  13. I know...I'm sure we'll run into each other one day...after all, we both can usually only cruise over school holidays...?
  14. No...After last March, we vowed to never sail Anthem again in cold weather. It just wasn't worth it for us.
  15. I didn't see any at Cape Liberty (disclaimer we went through super fast) but they do sell them at Terminal 18 at PE.
  16. False alarm...Wonky Royal IT strikes again...I saw that last night already and tried to select it and it's actually not available. Then I called and they confirmed that it's not available...the search continues...
  17. You could be right...I just assumed that because they were RFID cards they wouldn't work. I will have to tell the kids to give it a try next time.
  18. When we were there in December, there were 2 other ships docked with us...Freedom (I think) and a Costa ship. The port area, while nice, was also a mad house. I think it feels that way too because it's kind of cramped and narrow there in some areas.
  19. Coming to us soon....@twangster vs. @4ensic photography showdown...October 2018 Symphony TA! ?
  20. Depending on the ship, hole punching may not be an option. If you are one of the newer ships (Harmony, Symphony, and Quantum class) the cards are RFID cards and you have to take them out to be scanned. If you're on an older ship, hole-punching works great as @jurrjurr mentioned above.
  21. This just goes to prove @Matt's theory of YOLO Book it!! ?
