  3. I don’t know. If anything it will be something we squeeze in at the end of a summer....
  4. @WannaCruise awesome post cruise review! Loved reading your thoughts. Happy to see that you are still Team OA class! I am curious why you ranked Indy over Navigator. Was it just simply due to size? Can’t wait to see what you think of Anthem. You and I seem to share similar thoughts on ships.
  5. I have not had the pleasure to sail star class ships on Quantum class ships. However, @TheHobbys did a very entertaining blog on his sailing on Anthem. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/12964-anthem-of-the-seas-june-6-9-night-bermuda-ol-8720-sc/ Also going to tag @WAAAYTOOO, @CGTLH, @AshleyDillo, and @betatke1480 because they have all done star class on Anthem. I tried to cover as much of star class as I could on Harmony in my blog. The link is in my signature or I can post it for you if you cannot find it. All my other star class bookings are on OA class ships. I feel that Star class on Quantum class is great for activities such as the bumper cars, iFly, North Star. Where it is lacking just slightly is the specialty dining because there are not as many options.
  6. I am pretty sure for star class that limit does not apply. I have not heard any recent reports from star class cruisers that there was a limit. Only reports of food coma.
  7. More disappointing news. I saw seapass cards from Harmony in the past week and they have also switched over to the same colours as Symphony.
  8. To find the latest pricing, I simply do a mock booking online on Royal's website. I check at least once a week. If I booked direct, I call Royal myself. If I booked with a TA, I call my TA. My TA knows me well enough to know I track my prices. One time, early on, they claimed there was no drop and I was confident that there was. I called Royal myself, asked them to make a note in my file for my TA and then called the TA back. It was a bit more work, but worth the $1000 that I saved on it. I usually book suites so all NRD. I have not been turned down yet. But I track prices meticulously so I will also not call unless I am sure that there is a drop.
  9. See this post... https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/10443-fare-reduction-for-phantom-cabin/&tab=comments#comment-98112
  10. The two bedroom GS is Sky Class with full suite benefits. Sounds like a good fit for your family of 6. The suite lounge pretty much any standard cocktail and definitely a rum and Coke.
  11. On Independence last year, NYE was formal night.
  12. We always have a swiss army knife with scissors in our checked luggage. Never a problem.
  13. +1 to that! Cruising with the kids has improved greatly since we hit that milestone!
  14. Welcome to the message boards @Takunoskim. The blog ranking here has nothing to do with actual C&A ranking. Here, it will change as your number of posts increases. Just something fun that @Matt came up with a while ago.
  15. There is a White party and an 80s party. The night it happens varies. You could check old cruise compasses or if I recall correctly, you're Star Class right? You can also ask your Genie what night. They will know. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass
  16. Yes, at Terminal A, non-US citizens went to another line with a customs officer. All together, ship to curb was very fast. Less than 1/2 hour.
  17. This happened periodically on the Aqua Duck on the Disney Dream and Fantasy as well. One time it was D13 that got stuck. She was so embarrassed because like you described, it was a process to get them unstuck. Your kids are right that waiting in the heat is no fun when that happens.
  18. Really? That is surprising. Or maybe because I am Canadian, we always have to show our passports at both embarkation and disembarkation.
  19. Yes, they will still need to see your passport whether you use paper or digital set sail pass.
  20. Was this the Brickell shopping area? What did you think of it?
  21. I used to print a copy just in case. For our latest cruise on Symphony, I just used the app. As a Plan B, I took screen shots of my set sail pass from the app ahead of time. That gave me two ways to access my bar code (app and screen shot of app). And I agree, I have always assumed that "original travel documents" means passport or birth certificate/driver's license combo.
  22. That is the value in the drink packages right there! For us anyway....
