Did you try them for dinner? Only their dinner menu changes nightly. We found this to be the case on Harmony as well. Royal is consistent with being inconsistent. lol I feel like if you tried Oasis class, you would like the suite lounge much more on those ships. The concierge still has limited hours (8am-12pm & 4:30pm-8:30pm) but with the bar in the suite lounge, you can get drinks pretty much all day until 11pm. Wait? What? Did I read this the wrong way or did you have to pay 18% extra on meals in specialty restaurants? That doesn't seem right to me if that was the case. Book Oasis class. I don't think you will be disappointed. And Oasis class ships trump Anthem any day. #teamOAclass ? This was a great blog @Jax! I thoroughly enjoyed following along over the last two weeks! I am in the minority here but my whole family prefers Jamie’s over Giovanni’s. I am not quite sure what it is exactly that we like better, probably just the overall menu choices. Also, I did not find the food quality to be that impressive. CK was way better. We’re going to give it another try on Oasis this March and I might change my mind, we’ll see.

Loving this blog so far @KristiZ!!! And keep those food pics coming, although they are slowly killing me because it all looks so good! This ship is so similar to Anthem, yet not. And the colours/decor in the GS are lovely!

Last time, they let all existing bookings be grandfathered in so all the more reason to load up on bookings now so that you can at least “save” until April 2022. ? These things are inevitable. Not really surprised.

+1 on the Holiday Inn Express on 17th Street. Embassy is more run down (IMO). Renaissance is also nice (also on 17th street and even closer to the port) but I would not stay there if I had my kids with me. It’s not as kid friendly there. We’ve done both Renaissance and Holiday Inn Express.

@mworkman I saw that video but then I also other people saying that this particular room is slightly different on each of the radiance class ships. I found one from Jewel but the quality is pretty awful.

Looking for info/feedback on the Ocean View Suite (No Balcony) Category VT on Jewel of the Seas. There's only one of these on the whole ship. It's cabin #1054. It used to be a concierge lounge now turned into a two bedroom suite. Has anyone ever stayed in one of these? Feedback/pics much appreciated. And yes, I am aware that Jewel has no CK! ?

I could be mistaken but I think that on Mariner, Grand suites are located on Deck 10 only. I actually don't like any of them because Deck 10 is right under the pool deck. I would look at Deck 11 plans and pick one that is under an area with not as much traffic.

I am not jealous. Not jealous at all...lol

@1978bucketlist don’t use the hotel shuttles. You will end up paying more and it’s a hassle having to wait around.

That will be even cheaper! Embassy suites is about a 5 min drive to the terminal. Lyft Plus to port is about $12 for the 4 of us.

Ugh! Don’t remind me! We already bought the 3 night dining package, and seeing that this is a port intensive itinerary, we figured we might eat in WJ some nights as well. It’s going to be interesting. I would have bought the UDP if Adventure had more restaurants to choose from.

Yes. Assuming it’s the Embassy on 17th street, La Bamba is literally around the corner from it. Less than 5 min walk. And I just checked back my old receipts, Lyft Plus for 4 people who overpack was $18.62 from Terminal 18 back to FLL.

+ 1 for Uber/Lyft. Super easy from the port back to the airport.

@WannaCruise thanks so much for this review. I didn't comment much but I was following it closely as Hubby and I are sailing Adventure in July. I really value your comments and insight and look forward to trying out Adventure again after 18 long years lol. I feel that you and I are a lot alike when it comes to ship preference, especially after seeing your list. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Anthem. If we are alike, I predict it will fall to #4 on your list. ? I do have one question that I don't think you addressed. Did the ship seem dated to you at all in at any of the venues or around the hallways etc.?
