  1. This comment makes me laugh. About a year ago, my two girls (12/14) realized that they would hit D+ before they turn 18. Hubby and I will get it first and they will be D+ on their own shortly after that. This was even before Covid set us back a bit, we would be at D+ already if it wasn't for all the cancellations this year. Anyway, very quickly, they did some research on their own, and they already have memorized the list of benefits that will apply to them. Other than alcohol, they already make good use of their D benefits right now when we cruise. I have raised cruise addicts and monsters too lol. But I told them that I expect them to fund my way to Pinnacle status once they get working. So really, who is the monster? ?
  2. Other than the Cucumber Martini from 150CP, I think the rest just come down to personal preference. I have my personal favourites, but I am not sure if there is a specific beverage that the other restaurants are known for. I have heard good things about the Spiked Palmer as well at the new Portside BBQ on Oasis.
  3. Yes. If you cancel under CWC, you will not receive a refund. The only time you get a refund is if Royal cancels on you. You will receive FCC for your full payment and that will be good for use until 12/31/2021. How long it takes to receive it is questionable. They say around 45 business days, but we have received ours as fast as a few weeks later, and some as far as about 45 days. My latest one that I cancelled for December, we booked as a group. Several people in my cabin already received their FCCs (about two weeks after we cancelled) and some others, including myself, have not received ours yet. And for that one, we were all booked in one cabin. Go figure, there's no logic to it. Anyway, you did not say if you already made final payment for this December sailing of yours? If you already did, what is the harm in holding out and not cancelling yet to see what Royal does. That's what I would do if I had already made final payment. I would wait until 48 hours prior to cancel in that case.
  4. Was this the morning that the offer was first announce. They were very confused that first day, that is putting it mildly. Royal kept changing their terms and conditions all day long. I am pretty sure that by the end of day, what they told you in the screen shot does not apply. You can still receive the double points even with the C&A discount. But we'll see if @Matt or @Sharla or @michelle can confirm.
  5. Not sure about others who sail star class, but I will be the first to admit that I am an unashamed suite snob. I have sailed star and will continue to do so if I can afford it. I have also sailed everything from an inside to star. Of all the star class people that I have met, they are all down to earth, myself included. I do not think it is fair to pass judgment on someone just because they like to cruise a certain way. Once again, you do you, and what applies to you, does in no way, apply to everyone else. Now, where were we before this thread got hijacked? Oh that’s right, tipping when sailing star class.
  6. I wish! That would have meant that I have sailed with the bot. Unfortunately, that is a low quality Hubby pic while he was waiting for me to grab my lavender tonic one night. ?
  7. Oh yes, you can most definitely do that too! Two of my favourite drinks are the Bellini from Jamie’s and the Lavender Tonic from Chops. I have gotten both of those drinks from the Trellis bar without dining at the restaurant. While cruising on Oasis class, I get a lavender tonic almost every night. The only one I am not sure about is the Garden martini (aka Cucumber martini) from 150CP because they make that one table side.
  8. Unfortunately, no. Just a perk of Star.
  9. Yes, with Star Class any drink from Starbucks is included. Just not the pastries and food there.
  10. Yes! You most definitely can grab a drink at the Trellis bar and not go to a specialty restaurant. It is one of my most favourite places to be on Oasis class. There are even small tables and chairs set up in Central park for you to enjoy your drink.
  11. From what I read yesterday, I seems that it will take up to two days to receive your rapid test results. Hence the 2 day quarantine. But there were some discrepancies yesterday between different news sources so who knows.
  12. Find the elusive Twangbot? Should we look for a shadow? Quite the challenge lol

  14. We usually always get the drink package when sailing Sky Class. Even when we stay on Deck 17. It is for the reasons that @twangster already stated. Purely convenience. Because a lot of times, you won't want to go all the way back to Deck 17 to get a drink, or the suite lounge may not have the beverages that you want, when you want. Especially if you are someone who prefers mixed cocktails over beer/wine.
  15. If it was anything like last month for the summer 2021 redeployments, the day that Royal said it would be release, it was made available for booking later in the afternoon. Just keep checking. It will show.
