  1. No random royal-wifi on Harmony On a 3 day sailing if you happen to be Diamond Plus for Surf and Stream...
  2. For the record think I've already broke even for #teamdx. For the day at least. Boston Iced Tea: $13 Simply Perfect Margarita: $13 Gentleman Jack and Zero: $12 Kraken and Zero: ??? Bahama Mama: ???
  3. Forgot about the cookies! Yes, one happened to be consumed prior to it's photo shoot.
  4. Pellegrino for Diamond+ 340 Bottles of water for two Diamond+ and an Emerald (plus a beer, OJ, and Grapefruit juice [D+]). Keep in mind this is a 3 night sailing.
  5. Cash, whether it be EUR, GBP, or USD, are still acceptable froms of payment towards your account.
  6. Just to be up front, don't expect anything fancy. Check out my previous LIVEish
  7. Correct, still have to add 18% to the cost. 4 $12 drinks would be $48 +18%, just about equal to the package at $49 +18% a day.
  8. Yes, getting bottles of water won't be an issue. Size wise it is the half liter/16.9 oz bottles of generic brand filtered water. Limits, none. Asking kindly I've been able to get more than one bottle at a time. Only major challenge can be later at night once the bars start to shutdown.
  9. Captain normally has a 6 week on, 6 week off contract. For the crew their contracts could be 6+ months with a maybe 2 month break. Fly on entertainment is at their own will, depending on needs. No idea contract length for the actual performers for the main shows. Pub/Schooner singers same deal. One from the Pub on Adventure back in January wasn't too sure when her next contract would be at that time. Posted some time ago about her next one. Off time wound up between March and July. Think she had mentioned being on the ship for 4.5 months.
  10. Sure, just keep in mind the Euro and GBP exchange rates wouldn't be too favorable on the ship.
  11. Found a video starting at the 2 minute mark shows the area. Access, I've tried looking for a door where the loft rooms are in the past. Think every door I saw was marked as crew only. From the video, have a hard time seeing that area open to guests. The stairs alone don't look guest friendly being a bit on the steep side.
  12. The Sky Suites do get a butler. However in my case with the butler I have the foggiest idea what they do. Outside of delivering the breakfast order when requested I really didn't have much in the way of interaction. Could have been luck of the draw on the butler. Still wasn't that impressed. Like all things, wouldn't mind giving Edge in a SS a second chance. Want to say with the pick x type promotions even the Sky Suites got the Premium Alcohol package. Lower category rooms topped out with the Classic. The higher suites do get a dining package plus I want to say two bottles of alcohol. Will say the entire Retreat setup was nice. Never sailing Haven I can't compare with that. Some minor annoyances, in The Retreat Lounge drinks were complimentary with no need for a card. However, one deck up on The Retreat sundeck a card had to be provided. Only the Edge Villas have direct access to the sundeck and are on the same deck as the Lounge. Other rooms are one or two decks from the Lounge.
  13. From the pictures I could find this is essentially Solarium Bistro. Know in the Asian market the Solarium in general is a "VIP" type area. Golden Dining and Lounge in my view is equal to the Suite Lounge/Coastal Kitchen setup Oasis class has.
  14. Changed over to Sunsational over a year ago. Still it is a carton of sugary frozen drink mix...
  15. Yes, it will be made for the most part individually in a blender. Sometimes if multiple people order one they might make a larger batch, still it is blender made. Also some ships and even bartenders might blend in rum then add a floater while other might just add the rum to the bottom of a glass then added the blended drink on top of it. Also, welcome to the boards!
  16. Will second this, booked it direct/independently in January on Adventure Did a quick write up: Might still be valid, if you decide to book directly with the company use code flavorsEAT for a discount.
  17. Way back when the Quantum class was first sailing they had a concept known as Dynamic Dining. This allowed guests to pick between four different restaurants with completely different menus. As the feedback built up they transitioned to the split between My Time and Traditional dining times and each restaurant used the same menu that changed daily. While the Dynamic Dining concept was going on The Grande was formal night every night with no true formal nights otherwise. After the change over to more standard dining arrangement the dedicated formal nights came back. 18. Good to hear about using a FSA/HSA card. Luckily my dad had insurance on two fronts travel policy and a Medicare Advantage plan. One fun thing about the travel policy he had was secondary coverage. So in order to file a claim he had to submit the the Advantage plan provider. Well to his suprise it covered all but his deductible and something else, think he was reimbursed around $1300 or a little bit more. I'm sure if he submitted to travel insurance he could get the remainder back. Still the sting can be bad if you don't have flexibility of available funds. One suggestion is some travel policies offer primary coverage with direct medical provider payment.
  19. Correction on the cost, was ~$1500 $1225 for services, $230 in meds, and $22 for supplies. Want to say he was down there for a good 3 or 4 hours under observation and treatment. With a follow visit the next morning. A medication he was prescribed and given was $76, quick look has it for around $37 retail pricing. If you couldn't pay I'm sure they would set you up with some sort of high interest rate medical payment plan.
  20. Know when my father came down with pneumonia on Symphony the medical bill wound up around $1700 for diagnosis and treatment.
  21. Another thought being Star Class you could get a glass or two of wine delivered for enjoyment on your balcony prior to dinner.
