  1. Yes, each ship does have name and a unique design. If I remember, I'll try and take a picture tonight.
  2. I've started now collecting casino chips. Normally ask for a $1 and $5 chip at an empty table or if playing a table remember not to cash them in.
  3. All comes down to luck. On Indy end of January I managed to rack up 400 points and walk away up $20. My sister on the other hand wasn't as lucky in trying to reach her point goal. Flip side, I've been in the same situation of hundreds down with only a few points shy of the 100 point mark.
  4. Correct, being able to order from the MDR when open is the expanded room service menu. On Harmony they did in the CLS I was in. Is this across the board, no clue. Shouldn't be an issue. Cancellation of a room is an all or none type deal. Problem would be the reverse, if the lone one had to cancel. You'd end up either having to cancel all or accept only getting port taxes and fees back.
  5. That is the way it is looking. However, the Cruise Ship Status Dashboard does have a catch separating "Highly Vaccinated" and "Vaccination Standard of Excellence". Guess ship status now becomes meat grades... Choice = Highly Vaccinated, Prime = Vaccination Standard of Excellence. Agree on all accounts
  6. Think the biggest change on the 17th to the "opt-in extended CSO" is it seems fully vaccinated and "up to date" vaccinated are treated the same again.
  7. Some changes were made in the operations manual the other day. One standout is "up to date" vaccinated can now be tested 3 days out. Fully vaccinated remains 2 days. Mask use policy changed. Back to fully vaccinated or "up to date" can be mask free ship wide 95% threshold. Those not meeting the 95% threshold can have designed areas fully vaccinated or "up to date" only.
  8. Subject of line for The Key guests. I do recall seeing a lane setup for entry to the terminal and for security for The Key guests. Recall seeing it getting on Independence end of January. Really the only two spots in Port Canaveral that lines and crowds can be bad is at the terminal entrance and security. Once upstairs at the pre-boarding check-in area it speads out with the individual agents. Then if boarding hasn't started, the waiting area is somewhat spread out. In a nutshell, after security social distancing is somewhat respected.
  9. Only lines you'll experience will be those for your own ship. These are large terminal buildings that are dedicated for each ship in port that day.
  10. Same concept, different names. I do think on Spectrum the teppanyaki restaurant has some different offerings. My hunch with the naming convention has more to do when Izumi has both sushi seating and hibachi seating within the same restaurant.
  11. Same thing happened here. My lazy "correction", have to love the stamp feature in Acrobat.
  12. No, Sky class only has access to beer/wine/soft drinks (11a-11p) and a happy hour in the suite lounge.
  13. If eligible for the booster, one is considered "up to date" the second the booster is administered. If one isn't eligible for the booster yet they are considered "up to date". Per: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date When Boosted A person is considered “boosted” and up to date right after getting their booster dose.
  14. In the past I recall getting reimbursed $6.50
  15. It would be beneficial to allow this. Say someone with two balconies booked next to each other. They want to submit a RoyalUp bid to a 2BR suite and if won combine everyone to the suite. By allowing a process to combine staterooms RoyalUp would end up with two balcony staterooms if the suite bid was accepted. Plus a revenue generator could be the bid is on the basis of 4 versus 2. Only catch might be muster station capacity.
  16. If you already have the excursion booked I wouldn't worry. It is just a weird way of saying sold out. Saying "check on board" is a helpful hook to have the guest check in the event of another guest canceling once on board.
  17. Vue Bar, Solarium, and Solarium Bistro
  18. Only advantage between one three device Voom package versus three one device Voom packages is not having to worry about someone kicking someone else off if changing devices. Plus a three device package is typically cheaper.
  19. I have thoughts in my head that I'm not sure are actually correct. More or less my thoughts have to do with the future overreach of the CDC or other government agency. Keep in mind the CSO still applied everywhere else besides Florida. In Florida it was a "voluntary" program after the preliminary injunction. Similar to where NCL is the only cruise line in Florida that can ask for proof of vaccination due to a preliminary injunction. Also not sure how the ruling on the preliminary injunction would stand up historically if referenced in future cases. @JeffBmight have some better insight what the impact is with the case being dismissed.
  20. Semi-related... As of today the case has been dismissed against the CSO. Florida and Texas filed for voluntary dismissal on February 10th. Order dismissing case: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.flmd.388773/gov.uscourts.flmd.388773.134.0.pdf
  21. Not trying to defend the CDC... Did anyone actually read what is required for a ship to reach red status? I would hope refunds to future guests would be offered if the ship hadn't voluntarily shutdown already. Only part I might be concerned about is misuse of "variant of concern". Sustained transmission of COVID-19 or CLI, defined as a 7-day Crew attack rate greater than or equal to 10% occurring at least once weekly over 3 consecutive weeks; Passenger attack rate greater than or equal to 10% occurring at least once weekly over 3 consecutive weeks; Crew attack rate greater than or equal to 20% occurring on any single day; Passenger attack rate greater than or equal to 20% occurring on any single day; or Traveler (crew AND passenger) attack rate greater than or equal to 30% occurring on any single day Severe COVID-19 acquired onboard resulting in: Shortages of supplemental oxygen or other medical supplies related to COVID-19 treatment, or 2 or more deaths in passengers and/or crew in a 7-day period. Potential for COVID-19 cases to overwhelm on board medical center and/or public health resources, defined as the inability to maintain: Adequate staff to Evaluate symptomatic travelers and their close contacts, Conduct routine and diagnostic testing of travelers, Conduct routine medical checks of travelers in isolation or quarantine, or Conduct contact tracing of close contacts. Adequate supplies of Personal protective equipment (PPE) listed on CDC’s Interim Guidance for Ships on Managing Suspected or Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019, Testing equipment for routine and diagnostic screening, Antipyretics (fever-reducing medications such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen), Antivirals and other therapeutics for COVID-19,external icon if commercially available, Oral and intravenous steroids, or Supplemental oxygen. Inadequate onboard capacity to fulfill minimal operational services, including but not limited to housekeeping and food and beverage services. A variant of concern or a new or emerging variant with undefined characteristics identified among cases on board.
  22. Always hated the use of terms of double and triple when describing 2 or 3 points. Point math... 1 point per night on the ship, 1 point per night sailing solo in a non-solo stateroom, finally 1 point per night when sailing in a Junior Suite or better (non Royal Up). Two people sailing in a balcony stateroom: 1 point (per person) Solo person traveling in a solo-balcony category stateroom: 1 point Solo person traveling in a balcony stateroom: 2 points (1 base + 1 solo) Two people traveling in a booked Junior Suite: 2 points (1 base + 1 JS or better) per person Solo person sailing in a booked Junior Suite: 3 points (1 base + 1 JS or better + 1 solo) 7 night sailing solo booked in a JS with double points promotion: 42 (7 [nights] x 3 [base, JS, solo]) x 2 [double point promotion] No JS or better nightly point if the JS or better was via RoyalUp.
  23. Biggest challenge with this photo is not having an idea of what is behind the photographer. Not seeing any entry to a bathroom or if a counter exists distorts the perspective of the suite. If you took the two sides of a Grand Suite in this picture (from Oasis) and stacked the on top of each other vs side to side. The perspective starts making some sense. Keep in mind my picture was probably taken either right next to the counter or a few steps after it. Adding in a picture of the foyer area on Oasis. Plus an idea of space taken by the bathroom. If I had to guess based on deck plans. The Grand Suites are same size as the main level of a Crown Loft. Just keep in mind no staircase when trying to visualize. --Correction, stock photowise the GS looks a tad wider than a CLS.
  24. I've gone crazy trying to cross check things as well when I've seen recently published videos. Then suddenly one very small detail is noticed and the "wait a second" thought occurs.
  25. Sorry to say the seafood towers are now gone. Think timeline wise it was discontinued fleetwide as of the restart.
