that site is not a reliable site for ship specs.. Its good for cruise deals but not ship specs.. You should go str8 to the source. Royals website always lists the correct specs.

because I am Diamond plus on Royal I am Platinum with MGM so I get great deals and comps with Vegas. I love Vegas and I love cruising both are basically my two favorite vacations.

I went on Bliss last year for Thanksgiving and loved it. This year I am doing something different and going on NCL Joy. Its also a Breakaway + class ship but it leaves from LA. I am so spoiled with living in Florida and not having to Fly but my friends and I wanted to do something different. I like NCL for certain things and certain things I think Royal does better.. So as a fellow casino player I will say this I don't know what game you play but I play Blackjack.. I usually like to start off at $25 a hand and work my way up.. If its going good I bet a lot more if its not I stick to my $25. What annoys me about NCL is I cant get a hand shuffle game for less than $50 a hand. Well I hate that. I do not like those automatic shuffle machines and while sometimes I don't mind betting $50 or $100 a hand but like I said I like to see how its going and on Royal I can get a hand shuffle game for $25.a hand so for me the casino on Royal is better but hey you might not mind this or play a totally different game where it doesn't matter.. Also I dropped a good $5k in the casino last year on Thanksgiving. Now I know thats not soo much in gambling world however, when I lose 5k on Royal I always walk away with a certificate for some kind of free cruise. on NCL no matter what I cant seem to crack their casino code... Now for specialty dining.. I really like NCL's restaurants and I think they are better than Royal's.. Don't eat in the MDR do all restaurants you will thank me. Now for entertainment I give the nod to Royal.. While NCL has shows they just aren't as good as Royal's. But the beds.. The beds on NCL in my opinion are better than Royals.. So why do I only go on NCL once a year.. For me its simple I cant seem to crack their casino code but on Royal I get like 7-8 free cruises a year (more money to gamble with) so makes it easy.. But have an awesome time and spend some time in the observation lounge its really cool

Matt the incident actually happened on the 2 night Feb 8th sailing.. I was on that sailing and it was crazy. at 7:30 PM on the last night the captain came on and said due to a medical emergency we have to go to Miami right away, drop off a passenger but then we will go back out to sea so the casino can open again. I thought this is so weird. Then a crew member told me what happened. The man on the sky pad shattered his pelvis. Then a few weeks later I read the article about the lawsuit he was filing. I have a feeling until they reach a settlement and get the sky pad really checked well for safety its not going to reopen.

I do a cruise over the week of New Years every year with my boyfriends family. There is 16 of us who go and it is so much fun. I find there are many kids and families and it is a lot of fun.

Just a friendly note about the lottery.. I have asked many casino crew members and was told it has been like 4 or 5 years since someone won this top prize.. This personally makes me not want to buy it but hey to each their own.. I also spend 1000's on blackjack and people find that dumb so I say do what makes you happy but don't expect to win

I have a feeling that if you are a fan of this blog most likely you are a cruise addict and either Have or Try to book as many cruises as possible.. I know me personally when I log into royalcaribbean.com If I don't see a list of pending cruises I become sad. One more Note.. I currently have 326 Crown and Anchor points.. I am trying very hard to get to 340 before my birthday cruise in Jan. I am a total cruise nerd and I want that Meal with an officer on my birthday cruise lol

5 for me but the casino sends me offers all the time so I am constantly adding to my list lol... Currently 3 on Navigator, One on Celebrity Edge, and one cheater on NCL Joy (wanted to try something new leaving from LA)

Yeah sorry, They prob stopped about 10-15 years ago. They were great though. When I first cruised at age 10 (I am now 32) they were my favorite but like I said I haven't seen them in like 10-15 years

Only thing I noticed different from what you found is I was able to select an inside room and still pick the perk option.. Now I am a travel agent and I am using the travel agent software so I am not sure if that makes a difference? But I did a mock booking last night on Equinox and I was absolutely able to pick an inside room for the 2 perk and 4 perk option..

I would absolutely pick Liberty over Enchantment. BUT I don't like small ships. They are too boring for me. I like having a promenade and a big ship to explore. Plus I like all the shows liberty provides. This is such a personal question because it depends what you are looking for from a ship.

I actually find this site pretty friendly compared to another forum based site... Are you aware what exactly happened to Oasis? It was a really freak accident. I don't think you are trying to be greedy but I am not sure exactly what you want. I heard Royal is giving a full refund plus a 100% cruise vouchers for another cruise.. To me that sounds good. You basically will be getting your money back for this plus another potentially free cruise.. I am not sure what else you were looking for? I know you are being inconvenienced and I totally get how that stinks but Royal is trying hard to make this weird accident right.

Ahh now I know why your flight is so expensive.. I assume your cruise is out of South Florida.. During presidents week here in South Florida we get a TON of people from New York and New Jersey visiting us that week and the flights are always so high. Also hotel rates for that week are crazy. If I were you I would look into hotel rates now and see if you could find a deal. I always find that week of Feb is crazy down here. Sorry for the bad news and I wish I had some tips for you but I really don't. I have friends who live in NY who are teachers and always want to come that week but the flights are always so high they don't come but maybe Spirit will have some deals? keep checking as it gets closer.

I am a foodie but I don't drink. I wish there was an option to pay half price if you don't drink. I really want to try this experience but with the wine component it doesn't make sense for me. Oh well lol

your taking what I said the wrong way. You posted about the new kids sail free offer.. but you left out all the black out dates that come with it.. Many times I have seen people post on message boards hey I thought it was kids sail free why isn't my cruise in July showing that.. So I just wanted people to remember don't forget the offer has many black out dates. Sorry if I offended you it really wasn't my intention.

Totally agree with you.. I just wanted the guy who posted this to realize its not really as great of a deal as he thinks lol

except what you forgot to mention is all the restrictions.. Cant use it during the summer months, can't use it for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Presidents day, and spring break.. So basically you can only use it if you are willing to take kids out of school

maybe you missed it.. I was on Feb 8, Feb 22, and then this past week.. all these times they haven't worked..

the part that is annoying for me is the 2 liter bottles were always warm. Even though they would put ice it still was not good because the warm soda would melt the ice so fast it made the soda watery so yeah I wish they would fix this problem.

Playmakers broken, Cafe Promenade broken, Casino bar Broken.. Other places I have no idea

I just was on Mariner this week and noticed this too so I asked the bartenders about this.. Apparently the soda guns on Mariner are broken lol so they have no choice but to use the 2 liters

sorry No. None of the MDR's have their own bars.. Like others posted it often takes a long time to get cocktails in the dining room

Yes the flights during that week are always super high... My friends live in NY and always want to come visit me here in South Florida that week because they are teachers and are off of work but the flights are so expensive they never can end up coming.
