  1. I'm doing the same from now on, researching, then giving my TA the details to let her book it and get the full credit, instead of partial credit by transferring it to her after I book it myself.
  2. I've done a few dummy bookings and it's let me book the big OV's with 3 people. But, I'm glad you mentioned the 5+, good to know I might not be so lucky when I actually do a real booking.
  3. That was a good question about the time of year, I've wondered myself about weather in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean, Jan-Mar. Thanks everyone for the answers!
  4. I'm guessing you've been bored at work lately with Jack popping up on many of your posts, lol.
  5. The official word is no outside beverages, aside from 2 750ml bottles of wine/champagne. However, people have gotten away with cases of bottled water (we have twice), and/or soda. Try taking it as carry on, worst they can say is no.
  6. My only suggestion is try a white noise machine to block out any possible sounds from above or below. I don't care for them, but they help my wife year round, and probably help me on the cruise (but I don't admit that to her ?). 24 nights...Let use know how that goes, I'd love to do that someday!
  7. The website is as reliable as a stormtrooper's aim.
  8. Yes, if you have my time dining, you can eat in the MDR any time. We always use MTD, and set up 5:30 for the whole week, once we're on board, but can change it any day, for any time.
  9. I'm pretty sure my wife booked our first cruise due to a past-final-payment lowered price. Sadly I was hooked after that, now I'm willing to pay much more (land vacations just don't seem to go well for me). As for trying other lines, I have a ways to go before RC ships and itineraries bore me, I haven't even started scratching the surface.
  10. True. If it's a practice Trident (blunt, orange tips) they might let you carry it on.
  11. Welcome to the light side! We had cookies too, but I think they took that perk away. Regardless, you'll have fun. People say to book your shows beforehand, but dining can probably wait until you're onboard (others will chime in with more detailed answers), depending on what you're looking for in your dining. I only do 1 or 2 specialty restaurants, so we just decide onboard. The main dining room and windjammer buffet are sufficient (unless you're uber picky, or have a ton of crazy allergies).
  12. I'd guess a pair of baggies and a t-shirt would be fine...Just don't wear any WET swimwear, as the chairs are cloth.
  13. Ours was on the side, no one could see in. They have blinds anyway, no seeing in.
  14. To the above worried CC member...I would advise the ultimate drink pkg. Also, don't get in their way with elevators, or pool chairs. You have been warned!
  15. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs huh? Good to know! ...I know, it's your auto correct ?...
  16. Incognito/private works great, it just doesn't autofill your info at the end, you have to manually put in your C&A #, and all your other details (address and whatnot).
  17. We had one on Freedom, absolutely loved it. I'll spend the extra money again on one. Is it "suite" worthy? No. The big ones might be what they're considering classifying as suites.
  18. In my 4 cruises, I haven't had an issue with the current smoking policy. My wife is a little more annoyed by smoke than me. We don't spend any time in the casino, so there's no issue there. RC should leave it as is in my opinion.
  19. Sounds like you made the best of it, and it's good to hear it's not all like the pictures (perfect weather). I'd still love to go someday. Thanks for sharing.
  20. lol, true that. I always separate my dessert.
  21. You all are missing the point of a buffet. It's about being lazy, and getting your money's worth (or more). If you have to get up to get more then you're wasting valuable eating time. So pile it up! ? Side note: That was total sarcasm. I know some people have various mobility issues, and a pile of food is much easier, and quicker than making multiple trips.
  22. I'll just sit and watch Molly (I think that's her name) on the RC up-coming-cruises channel. lol, my wife gets so annoyed. We watched the same 3 or 4 episodes of big bang on Enchantment in '14... now we have the whole series on DVD.
  23. lol, I'm one of those... 75 or lower and I need at least a hoodie. Then again, i work outside, and it's usually in the 80's, 90's, or 100's. My wife has family in Chicago, we hope to visit in the next few years. Considering she hasn't seen snow, she'll probably try to get us up there in winter ?
  24. I, personally, hate seeing people in shorts in the MDR, especially on formal night, and I, like your husband, wear shorts and flip flops year round. I was raised to believe that dinner on a cruise, minus the buffet, was a fancy occasion, and should be treated with respect. I've heard and understand arguments against dressing up, but there's my 2 cents. On our cruise out of Boston we kept it low key dress up, due to luggage limits with flying up there.
  25. I like to rock climb in the afternoon, while my wife gets ready for dinner, and RC prefers mostly sober climbers, so that limits my beer or fancy drink intake each day. We've always gone into town for each port, so again as others have said, time lost to use the pkg. Between the two of us we probably have 6 or 7 drinks per day, max, so we just buy them individually.
