SPS got a reaction from PPPJJ-GCVAB in Brilliance of the Seas Cruise Cut Short
When our Grandeur sailing was shortened by two days for a rudder issue, we were still awarded 9 points for what became a 7-night sailing.

SPS reacted to tonyfsu21 in Pearl Cafe: Breakfast
This is my new “go to” spot for a quick breakfast! I normally go to park cafe but decided this morning to try something different. The steak & eggs sandwich and classic breakfast sandwich (sausage, egg, cheese, ham) are equally delicious! The service was very quick at 6:45am. There are 2 lines that eventually form, one to the left for speciality coffee (most likely drink packers speciality coffee option) and one to the right for food. The food line was short!

SPS got a reaction from melmar02 in Escape Room Location on Harmony
Sadly, the escape room was closed as we found out on our sailing this past January.
It's located on Deck 14 Forward as the Puzzle Break near Adventure Ocean. There are still markings that indicate it in the carpet and vinyl wrapping on the wall.
Hopefully it's coming back since you were able to book it. It was never listed in our Cruise Planner as an option.

@B. Lomax check out this pic of what I bought today. This is just a sampling of what I got. Bought 5 bottles , Blantons gold , blanton barrel strength , wild turkey 12 year , some rare willet wheated and something called schenks which is supposed to be somewhat rare.

SPS got a reaction from JLMoran in Hey everybody. It's been a while!
@JLMoran Good to see you back. We really enjoyed our time on Odyssey in 2022. It was a great ship to have our "Return to Cruising" on after two years (almost to the day!) of being unable to due to the shutdown cancellations.

Health is good. Had another foot surgery in '21 that took a while to heal, but that’s finally good and things are stable again.
My older daughter is doing great; she graduated college in '22 and has been figuring out what she wants to do for a living, and has been living on her own for the last several years.
My younger daughter is also doing great; she finished her freshman year in college last year, and is now living in Tokyo, Japan to pursue a career as a manga artist. She’s loving it there, and already has a job as a part-time assistant with a published manga author who told her that she’s already good enough to be published in a year or two. He’s helping her with getting her first full work created and submitted to one of the regular competitions, so she can start getting the notice of publishers.
Hope you’re also doing well!

Just saying a quick hello here, first time in about four years. I just booked the 12-night Odyssey sailing in Jan 2025, which is an itinerary I've been wanting to do kind of since I first started sailing with Royal in 2018 and learned about it. Seemed like a nice way to celebrate turning 55. 🙂
To everyone I haven't spoken with in all these years, hope you've been well!

SPS got a reaction from PhillyLady in Packing for Alaska
One of the best things we did for Alaska was purchase Columbia parkas with removal fleece linings. We were fortunate enough to not need the full outer shell and fleece combo, but it was good to be prepared. The waterproof outer shells were quite handy on the one rainy port day we had in Juneau. Kept us dry and warm enough without feeling overheated. Also, the fleece alone makes a nice comfortable jacket for dry conditions, too.
The full combo was also light and compact enough to not take up too much room or add excessive weight to our luggage.
(FYI: they can be found only lightly used and in very good condition on eBay quite cheaply. All together, I bought two for us for about $50!)

Remember those are 350ml bottles, not the typical 750ml

Current scotch selection at schooner here on Wonder.

SPS got a reaction from B. Lomax in Whiskey of the Seas
On Harmony in January, the English pub, Boot & Bonnett, had a couple of selections from Whistlepig that were not available anywhere else on the ship.
6 year and 10 year rye. No extra cost with the drink package!
I would expect that the English pub on Wonder (Pig & Whistle?) may also have those (and maybe some others worth trying?)

SPS got a reaction from CanHardlyWait in Royals Transportation
The one time I used RC's transfers (in 2009) was from Miami to FLL and they did use larger charter buses.
I don't recall being asked about my flight time, but I was in a similar situation as you with a mid-afternoon flight.
I don't remember how much it was, but being so long ago, I'm sure the price wouldn't be relevant now anyway.
I don't know how far out your cruise is, but often these things (transfers/excursions) become available online as your sail date gets closer. I fairly certain that I booked online about 4-6 weeks from my sail date.
