  1. Saved $182 total between 2 cruises. Europe cruise had better sales than the Caribbean cruise. Now I’m hoping the refunds are quick and not 1-3 months like I’ve had happen before.
  2. Sale started. Just saved $182 by canceling and rebooking cruise planner items. Odyssey Greek Isles cruise had steep discounts on excursions, internet, and drink packages. Wonder Caribbean cruise wasn’t as generous overall, Hideaway Beach did drop from $65 to $58, that’s all the savings I could find for what I have booked. I noticed the CocoCay Beach club is 50% off, $123.
  3. Hopefully their website doesn’t crash like last year.
  4. Looked at statistics for Honduras, including the mainland. There was 36 murders per 100,000 people in 2022. Slightly safer, or similar than many large cities in the U.S. I worry about safety everyday where I work, violent crime can happen anywhere unfortunately.
  5. 2 months away from opening. If somebody is in CocoCay can you please take a picture? I’m curious what it looks like currently. I have it booked for 2/12.
  6. Seeing multiple experiences like this worries me. Hopefully this is a rare occurrence overall.
  7. This glitch is worse than usual. Deleted the app multiple times. Logged out and back in. All my reservations are still missing for the app and cruise planner. It’s showing I can rebook at a higher price. Guess I’ll just wait until they fix it.
  8. I don’t get it. Seems like a risky and bold assumption for passengers to expect their pet to be allowed aboard. What happens if the staff at the cruise terminal say no? Does the pet get abandoned, or do passenger’s miss their cruise entirely to return their pet home?
  9. When booking activities on Coco Cay do you need an excursion ticket like other ports?
  10. Not only will windjammer be weighed by the plate but it will be self checkout. Enter the number of napkins you need on the kiosk, as well as number of water glasses. Reserve a table by the window for an up charge. For the rooms they will drop bed linens off at the door, guests will need to make their bed. Full service will be an up charge. Sorrento’s will be an up charge, first toss your own pizza, put it in the oven, weigh and pay. You can bypass this hassle with the pizza package. Pool chairs will cost extra, using the dynamic pricing model. As more guests book chairs the price will rise based on demand until the last chair is $3,000 per day. Coco Cay will use the European model of charging for bathroom use. The paper towel dispenser will be coin operated.
  11. I get what you’re saying. When you spend thousands on a vacation, expectations are high, and rightfully so. I have 4 cruises booked, and it’s frustrating that more changes are possibly coming, further reducing the value and experience. CEO Jason Liberty made it clear what his priorities are, and they’re just getting started with increasing profits. Great time for customers including myself to reevaluate future decisions in regards to booking cruises, and consider other options.
  12. They’ll have a pizza package for $30 a day, and we’ll see a bunch of posts about is the “pizza package worth it” and “how many slices to eat per day to break even”
  13. Late night pizza is a cruising tradition for my wife and I. Definitely wouldn’t pay for it, and this combined with other cutbacks would have me rethinking future bookings. Jason Liberty is transforming RC into a profit driven machine, and is killing off it’s loyal customer base. $500 for a couple to spend a few hours at the beach club on CocoCay is already ridiculous enough.
  14. I’m still seeing $14 on the menus. When did the drink prices go up to $15?
  15. Cancelled a dining purchase on cruise planner almost 1 month ago, and still waiting for a refund. Should I continue to wait or call RC?
  16. Let us know how your cruise on Wonder is going. Love that ship, getting back on it in a few months.
  17. I saw that previously and enjoyed your review. Right now I’m in the waiting phase, I really want to experience it but it’s not until next year. Some of the excursions I plan on booking through Royal show on the cruise planner, but are “currently unavailable”. I assume it’s too early. Do you recall how long it took for everything to become available on the cruise planner?
  18. Post a review please, we’re going on the Odyssey to the Greek Isles in 2024.
  19. CEO Jason Liberty implied on the recent earnings call that cruising is currently too cheap, and prices will only go up. He’s VERY focused on profit, “closing the value gap between cruises and land based vacations.” Unfortunately for all of us that probably means more cutbacks are being debated in the company boardroom. Also, repricing anything lower like drink packages or cruise-fare, and finding attractive prices overall is going to be a rare occurrence going forward IMO.
  20. In the U.S. patients are taken to the closest appropriate hospital based on protocols setup by medical directors. There’s 3 levels of trauma centers, with level 1 being the highest acuity. Level 1 has trauma surgeons, and other speciality services onsite 24/7. If you have a heart attack you’d need a hospital with a cath lab, if you have a blood clot you’d need a hospital with vascular ultrasound, etc. Other countries probably have a similar setup. Major cities like Naples most likely have designated hospitals that offer all those speciality services for life threatening conditions, and a patient may have to go there if they want medical treatment, regardless of its reputation.
  21. I’m curious if the adult only area will be complimentary
  22. Price is the sole reason I’m not booking. It’s currently twice what I paid for Wonder OTS. Freedom and Voyager class offer great value, and you still get many fun activities. Not sure if or when I’ll book an Icon cruise, I don’t think prices will ever fall since obviously there’s plenty of demand.
  23. I’ve been on trains in and around Rome. Not to the cruise port though. It was a simple process and good experience. You can buy tickets online in advance or at the station. Some tickets need to be validated, machines for this are conveniently located where you board.
