We saw brown bears in Icy Straight eating fish in a small cove near the port. Also saw plenty of eagles there last year. Just luck but cool to see.

Nope no age restrictions for the bistro, only the solarium itself.
Good to know, thanks.

Solarium Bistro has been overwhelmed all this week on OA. We prefer it to the WJ but have been unable to find a table most of the mornings we’ve tried to eat there.
It was busy on our cruise last month as well. We were always able to grab a table though. Couldn't believe the amount of young children in there. The age rule apparently doesn't apply to the bistro.

Used to live on the St Lawrence river in New York. Canada started enforcing a rule about fishing in their waters accompanied by large fines. I thought a war was going to break out over it with all the uproar. Also Canadians had issues with clearing immigration when traveling on boats "because I've been going back and forth all my life". The fishing thing may have been a response to this.

Princess have updated almost all their ships to Active RFID Tech. You unlock your door only getting closer to it with your medallion, they also added a little screen that welcomes you.
Door (and almost all) tech on Royal seems to be stucked in the XX century.
Sailed on Oasis last month and wondered why they didn't have a system like this. We really like that on Princess and my wife missed being able to order a cup of tea and some food from wherever we were sitting on the ship.

We had a port side balcony on deck ten of Oasis a couple of weeks ago. No smoke smell at all. I wouldn't worry.

So....not a price drop per se but close enough I HAD to revive this!
So...last night we booked a JS on Harmony for 8/5. It was relatively last minute/spontaneous as we had only discussed it for half a day before pulling the trigger.
This morning I log in to start my normal price drop check and see that the room is now almost $400 more!
Talk about by the skin of our teeth!
Just booked a TA on Explorer for 4/23. GTY balcony for 1099. Next day it was at 1250. Pick your own cabin was 1400 more. Timing matters

We are on this cruise as well. What kind of tips are you looking for? Haven't sailed on Explorer before but have cruised this year.

This is a fairly large laminated world map. I've been tempted to purchase it to mark off destinations we've visited. Might be something to consider.

Looks like they moved things around to show it in the Aqua theater.

I'm new so I doin't know when it changed. I booked my first RCCL last year cruise leaving next month. I was surprised that when I asked the agent for his direct line he said they didn't do that. I always deal with the same person on a different cruise line and get great service from him. Giving MEI a try on a cruise booked for Australia later this year.

On our Dec Oasis sailing the machines were constantly out of Diet Coke, Dr Pepper, and the root beers. Fortunately I don't drink those flavors and the one I do drink was always available.
Out of Dr Pepper ? Cue the Geico gecko doing the dramtic "I have a flat tire". That's my favorite drink.

We use this group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/410269107105979
Has about 450 members.
WE are going on the Roatan Island Tour and Beach. Never been to Roatan so we wanted to get a feel for the place.
Just joined as well. Didn't think to look for a facebook group.

Just booked it for February 12 cruise on Oasis. Hope we have a good group for the challenge. Thanks to everyone who posted on here, It really helped me decide to do this.

As everyone has stated it's a great service. I booked it on board back in September.

This is the same cabin on Freedom of the seas. Nice video showing the size. From the deck plan appears identical to the Independence. YMMV

Just viewed the Facebook page for LFK. Seems a sad situation for the animals there.

We booked the ruins for Costa Maya and Cozumel. We picked the zip line and Gumbalimba Park. If you see this show reservations just opened in the cruise planner. Both of my friends are from Nyack or just outside of it. We lived in Northern New York for 13 years but never made it to that part of the state.

We are on that cruise. Really looking forward to the Mayan ruins. I visited Chichen Itza in the 90's but my wife has never been there. I have friends from Orange County New York.

Had this problem today also. App eventually cleared around noon cst and I was able to grab 1100 - 1130 check in time. Website never did clear up.

I've done two cruises out of Seattle and I wouldn't book before 11:30 to be safe. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes to drive back to the airport. Last trip we were held up at a draw bridge for close to 20 minutes. Several people were sweating making their flights. I don't need that stress. Take advantage of the Port Valet service offered by the Port of Seattle. You check your bags through to your final destination straight from the ship. Biggest advantage is no over weight bag fees.
