Linking Reservations with Family on Same Sailing
tjcruisers replied to LaceyLou's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We’ve done it a few times. Onboard charges aren’t linked, you specify the card to charge for each passenger on checkin -
I've had rye bread. Don't recall it in the WJ, but had it in the MDR for breakfast
-
Have to agree. In hindsight I should have done anything else that night
-
Care to elaborate what the frivolous charges were?
-
Watching a news clip, they said power was was down for 8 minutes. That's not really even noticeable
-
Has happened to us a few times, just got our TA to correct it, or you can probably call
-
We've never done WJ for dinner. How is it? Better than lunch options?
-
I wasn’t able to get it on my last few cruises. Said the bars don’t have it
-
My experience I've had times where they were running ahead of schedule and were allowed to depart 30+ minutes before the scheduled time, other times right at the scheduled time and other times up to an hour late.

Same here. On the news tonight local meteorologist said it’s easier to pick up with a camera. Mentioned if you can’t see them try to look at sky through your cell phone

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH ROYAL CARIBBEAN
tjcruisers replied to TankPedro's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
As mentioned might not be an apples to apples comparison on the room. The 3rd party TA group is probably going on group discount. Also for the room a balcony in one location doesn't equal a balcony in another. A room front of the ship will be cheaper than midship. A balcony on deck 5 might be cheaper than one of deck 8. When did you book your cruise? While I've never done this, my understanding is you can transfer your reservation to a travel agent within first 30 days or something. That might be a way to get your deposit transferred over and then repriced via this 3rd party company -
You can watch them now, but nothing is recorded. You’ll have to rewatch them the day of departure to get the ticky mark
-
This happened to us on the Wonder last year, quite frustrating

royal caribbean change the cruise itinerary
tjcruisers replied to kjack's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Unless it's a pretty significant itinerary change, I wouldn't hold my breath -
Would like to try it one day. I can see the pros and cons. I’m the early riser, but usually go to top to walk around and watch the sun rise
-
We go with connecting staterooms, having that 2nd bathroom is a must.
-
While not on the drink menu, I like a hummingbird (got the bartender to make one last cruise). Outside of that boring rum and coke

Aqua Theater Suite or Owners Suite on Harmony?
tjcruisers replied to Avatar133's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I'd probably go with the owners suite as it's closer to the elevators. Which ship are you planning to go on? We were on the wonder with a boardwalk balcony a few rooms away from ATS. The water show itself became extremely annoying by day 2, being in the room when they show is going on isn't something you'll want to do (outside of the first time watching it) -
Coco Cay October water temps?
tjcruisers replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We'll be there around halloween (or so the wife tells me). Good that is sounds like it's still warm, not sure I'll go swimming though -
Safety hazard and how to escalate further up
tjcruisers replied to Someone_else's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Was just about to post that. One cruise we had 2 pullmans and a sofa. My one son didn't want to sleep in the pullman so he sleep on the sofa. -
Total Solar Eclipse 2045 & CocoCay
tjcruisers replied to Rackham's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We were in the path of totality as well. Cloudy up to maybe 10 minutes before totality when the clouds started to break up. Had a big blue patch of open skies go over our house starting a minute before totality. We got lucky -
I've had to get a safe unlocked twice, once my wife typed in our wrong code on locking it and forgot what she typed in, the second time previous passenger left it locked. In both cases it required an officer to come down and unlocked. In the case of the previous passenger leaving it locked, it was the housekeeper waiting at our room saying she's waiting for the officer to come and unlock the safe, both cases the housekeeper had no ability to do it

Crack Down on Chair Hogs on Odyssey
tjcruisers replied to Psycho and Barb's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I like it, hopefully they keep it up. I'd be willing to give these staff a tip when I see them
