Thanks everyone. Seems like it doesn’t take long to get off the ship and through customs. Were in the north lot as well and barring traffic should be fine. We will just hope we dock on time and we will get off as soon as they let us. If we make it we make it and if not a day of relaxation. Haha.

Sorry forgot to mention. were in the Humble area about 70 miles. I would imagine If we could be on the road by 8 I could make it.

Family of 3 making our first cruise on mariner of the seas in June. We have an event for our daughter we wanted to try to make at 930. We have the key if it helps but what is usually the earliest time that you can get off the ship ? Are you assigned a time or is it leave as you wish ? We will be keeping our luggage so we can leave quickly if that helps us. We will be cruising out of Galveston and with their new port how long does it take to get off the ship and in your car ? I am personally getting excited. I read this blog page about every day learning and reading about Royal Caribbean. Hopefully this is the first of many cruises for our family. I already have our second one booked for Utopia of the seas next year so hoping everyone has a blast this trip thanks everyone for your input.

Thank y'all for the responses. Sounds like it shouldn’t be an issue. Didn't know if everyone bum rushed the pools once they got on board or not. Happy we should be able to get everything knocked out.

My wife and 5 yr old daughter and I will be on our first cruise Mariner of the seas out of Galveston in June. We have the Key purchased which comes with lunch I read, but I’m sure my daughter will want the pool first since I’m sure she will be excited at the time. I figure I can get hot dogs or something from the stand. question - how big is the pool area ? Does the area around the pool edge to sit and swim fill up fast ? If so we can miss the lunch and go straight to the pool on board. I was planning on arriving early and will check in once it’s available so once we get onboard we would go to muster station l read. thanks for the help.
