  1. Not just the cafe, the entire 270 venue is a winner. I love that space. On Q class, 270 and the Music Hall are definite favorites!
  2. Wow, first I heard of that! I could understand if they were, as you assumed, trying to upsell you on a special logo bag, but the standard plastic should be included. That's a head shaker to me.
  3. We are of one mind @jbrinkm. I like a bit of specialty dining, but I enjoy traditional MDR dining and the entire experience of it. I'm really easy to feed so I have no issues with the food.
  4. Obviously can't speak for all TA OBC, but what my TA provides is right there in the CP to use after booking.
  5. Hi @Bill1964 I'm not actually referring to a specific time. It's something that I heard about winds picking up and some zip lining having to be cancelled. It could be just something people say. By afternoon I'm on the other side of the island so I've never first hand seen zip lining pause. I will say though, after I heard it, I booked early and really think it's the best way. It's right there off the pier, no groups ahead of you and you start the day with a little thrill.
  6. Might as well, it's all just made up groupings anyway. You may say that means you aren't either Gen X or Millennial, but I say it means you are both. Since the beginning of time, groups of people like to separate themselves into smaller groups of people in order to feel different or strong. I would love to come back as an observer after humans are gone and the next dominant species rules the earth. I would be very interested in how they view our strength and weaknesses.
  7. All of my credits hit the CC this morning so I am completely whole from the transactions.
  8. You're going to find this to be a non-issue @Rurallc. You aren't going to be bored.
  9. Awesome. My 12 YO is going to be happy I do believe. We really like Labadee. Lots to do.
  10. Thanks for the blog @JohnK6404 I've learned from @BrianB that if you book UDP, they auto move you to MTD from traditional. Glad it didn't impact you too negatively.
  11. Such a fun trip. It's great to see you both connecting and enjoying each other's company as a couple and not as parents this time. Great Flowrider work!
  12. You're unlikely to have one table even with traditional dining. You don't really want one anyway. Conversation at a table that size is not really ideal. If I were you, I would stick to either early or late seating (early for me). With early your table(s) will be waiting and you'll walk right up and sit down. No queuing up and waiting. Sounds like a fun cruise!
  13. We're a party of 4 usually and go the four device route. Issue is that my wife and I have phones and a laptop for an occasional work check in. Kids have phones and sometimes a chromebook (if we've taken out of school) or other devices. So the total actual devices using the 4 dev plan is always >4. When the 5th device attempts to log in, that login is allowed and one of the other 4 devices is kicked off. The person who got kicked off, when they find out they are booted, is always mad and thinks the person logging into another device without first logging out of their other device is being rude and they are right. Problem is, when they are the one doing the kicking, they have compassion for how "easy it is to forget" So you end up with conflict and struggle over something that should be easy. Some choose to just buy their way out of that conflict and consider it money well spent. We buy the 4 dev plan for the savings and will have the talk about logging off before logging in a second, but there will be conflict.
  14. You can expect the same theme nights in some order or another. You won't really get an idea until closer to the sailing. Best you can do now is find a cruise compass from the most similar sailing from this year and see.
  15. You know I can't tell. I have a 12 and a 20 but we haven't been to Labadee since he turned 12. It is certainly unclear if the second to last bullet indicates the 12 yo as a driver with an adult passenger or as a single driver with a responsible adult in the area. I'll be there in 5 weeks and try to figure this one out. In the mean time, I'm going to throw another BF $11.99 ticket in the cart and if he can drive himself we'll be ready, if not, it's just a second dual rider ride.
  16. Yes you just need one ticket and she can ride with you. It's sort of fun together too!
  17. Nah, not even close to the multidevice internet. That drop was $4 pp/pd from previous best, or for a 4 device set on a 6 night sailing $96. I grabbed some water too, but the multidevice internet and the $12.99 coffee card on Icon were the big wins this season. Even Refreshment package drop beat the water because of the gross savings over the cruise length.
  18. An extra dollar will only break you even @FionaMG. Eat 2 extra dollars worth and come out on top!
  19. My wife did sip tour brunch not that long ago. She enjoyed it, but she works in food service administration so it was of interest to her. She enjoyed the Brunch and the champagne flowed. I could tell she got a little tipsy because when she met me in Central Park afterwards she was very handsy.
  20. Looking forward to it. I'm taking that trip next year. Anything planned in port?
  21. Hi @jbrinkm. I thought of you yesterday as Labadee sees big BF discounts. Not sure which zip line you're doing, but on my last go we did the zip line first and then the coaster. The coaster is in no way a let down after the zip line, it's 2 different thrill types. on the zipline, you're high and on the line, but there are no objects in your potential path. On the coaster, you feel the speed because of the proximity of approaching corners and the presences of trees etc. Don't worry in that regard. Not sure which line you're taking. I choose Dragon Fire for a couple reasons. First is that it's a little longer, second is it's superman style and third because it doesn't include a training session on the smaller line and for that reason it runs shorter in time. I would say 1 hour from check in until you're done on Dragon Fire. Roller Coaster would be line dependent but the ride itself is just a few minutes. I've heard that winds often pick up later causing possible cancellations, so my move would be to take the very first DF Zip Line slot (this also essentially ensures you are on schedule), check in, grab one of the lockers there to put your gear up (I would have secured some chairs on Columbus Cove prior to this). Do the zip line and then head over toward the coaster. Your time slot on the coaster isn't super meaningful like it is for the zip, so you can just show up at your leisure. Check in, get your wrist band and then ride. I really like the coaster. Then walk around, check things out, get a Labadoozie and when you're ready go back and get your gear from the locker. Then, you are close to the pier so I walk back up the pier and take the ferry back to CC.
  22. I hear ya @CanHardlyWait. I would want to avoid being a 4 person set with that large of a group around for a lot of reasons. If I were part of one of those groups I would like to be accommodated though. This kind of thing seems rare to me though.
  23. I can't agree with this. There are many cruises with groups of varying size that enjoy themselves within the boundaries of the cruise. With enough coaxing you might get me to agree that when a group reaches a certain number it is now too large to control and ensure the experience for the unaffiliated passenger set, but I probably couldn't get there just based on one group that had some issues. I totally get your sentiment though and knowledge that a large group was going to be onboard might impact my choice of cruise at decision time. I'm just not sure how this would be implemented efficiently.
