  1. I have never purchased travel insurance and never needed it. Reading this thread I just purchased an annual policy from Allianz. We have 5 cruises booked in next 14 months and typically take non-business flight/trips a few times a year in addition. I just got the basic one, which appears medical is the big selling point of that one. I hope we don't need it (obvs) but if we do...
  2. Mariner is a great ship. The biggest difference in Oasis and Voyager class ships are the shows imo. Oasis shows are better across the board. However bars, sea views, dining, etc are great on Mariner. We will be on her later this month and Oct. Enjoy!
  3. I have never been on Explorer but the Voyager class ships are great.
  4. Same. We had the ‘no docs’ message after signing in 45 days out. This past week right at the 30 day mark the email came with cruise docs/luggage tags attached.
  5. I guess I will resurrect this one. I am inside 30 days for our upcoming cruise and I don't see the menu option for the MDR nor WJ. Has that changed? I would like to know what the selections will be in advance so when I get on board I can make our specialty restaurant reservations.
  6. @Ryan79 we are booked for our October cruise. From what I can tell getting there is part of the charm. I guess lol. I'd be remiss if I didn't (gently) ask about safety, this is our first trip to Mexico.
  7. I bought a usb power one for a cruise we are taking next month and someone on here said it would/might be confiscated if it didnt have a UL sticker on it. Someone in same thread recommended this one: https://www.amazon.com/SkyGenius-Battery-Operated-Clip-Black/dp/B01FFWG0I8/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=Skygenius+battery+operated+fan&qid=1690072321&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1 and we got it too. Interesting enough I can’t find a UL sticker on it but it does have some kind of information on it.
  8. Harmony had 2 00 tables and 1 0 table last August. They let the 00 tables overrun for a couple hours before opening the 0 table up on the last night. It was $5 when they did tho. Regarding Vegas and roulette, it is a matter of time before they have 0000 tables. That is one of the reasons I have diverted a good deal of my discretionary vacation funds to Royal Caribbean and away from MGM and Caesars
  9. On Harmony last August they didn't have the option for plain water (they have 100x flavors you could add to it or so it seemed) on either of the machines in the promenade. And I stared at them quite a bit assuming I was too dumb to find it. That was only time I have run into machines that didnt have plain water as an option.
  10. I am not nearly as experienced a cruiser as many here but I have found many more 'poorly made' cocktails than 'weak' ones. And it seems to vary from cruise to cruise in my experience. And this is coming from someone that knows his way around a bottle of liquor.
  11. out of curiosity, would an expired passport be of any use taking with and leaving current on ship in safe? IIRC I've read an expired one is considered ok for ID but not travel (or some similar contradictory something).
  12. I've had great luck with their social media teams. whether they could handle that for you I have no idea but it would be worth a shot
  13. Ha, I saw that. Coco Beach Club $319 pp too
  14. I figured why not. we normally sail on older ships. Quick 4 nighter in our fall window next year wasn't as punitive as I figured it would be.
  15. I just canceled our breezy bay bed and booked south beach for Mariner/August 2023
  16. BT has become pretty available last several weeks at my go to store. Its been a minute (or two) since I saw any ER in the wild.
  17. It is for sure worth a shot, heck we would try it again.
  18. @Pattycruise I would give it another try, because we love Mexican food that much. And maybe it was just a bad night when we were there, you never know.
  19. Obviously YMMV but we had it on Harmony last august and it was just ok. And thats being fairly generous. Little to no seasoning, very bland. It was served hot temp wise, no issues there. And we love Mexican food. The service was great, atmosphere was great, food was meh. And I was really looking forward to it. It was the least enjoyable non MDR meal I have ever had on RC.
  20. cruisemapper has always been my go to for that. As I understand that can and does change (particularly far out) but its a good resource.
