That is a great idea. I would carry a paper copy of the front page of my passport. Having a paper copy or a photo will have the embassy as long as your passport # is readable.

To find out what your assigned room is, try this trick that @Atlantix2000mentioned in another post: if your documents included a barcode somewhere, try reading the value with a scanner app. People report that the last 4 digits are the room number even if it hasn't been officially assigned to you. This doesn't always work and it can change until it is officially assigned but many people use this trick to find out their room early. Search for the "barcode trick" on these forums and you can find better info. I hope you get a great room. Enjoy.

While I have never experience it myself, I have been told that if you are going to miss the ship, the cruise personal will remove your passport from the safe and hand it over to the port authority. If my shore excursion is going to include the beach or swimming, I usually only take my driver's license. Otherwise I take my passport.

I totally agree about getting a fitted mask for your face. It makes a world of difference. My husband has a full beard and moustache. He shaves a little bit extra under his nose (1/4") and then uses Vaseline. He has never had any trouble about using the Vaseline.

I once cruised on Princess and at that time they had an Elton John impersonator. I thought that guy was great! The last night, the impersonator got together with a female comedian from Maine. I never laugh so hard! The comedian was slightly overweight. And when she went to lean on the piano to sing, the piano started to sink. The impersonator immediately stood up in a panic and waved his hands to get her off the piano. I laughed. Thanks for bringing back that memory.

Totally agree! Those are the same people that will complain when RCL implements a new rule to prevent people from doing something stupid that should have been prevent with an ounce of common sense.

I too loved Allure. I cruised on her last summer. I was wondering about the ducks. I never saw one on Allure. With everyone talking about how they hide ducks, I thought for sure I would find some. It makes sense for the crew to remove the ducks. I can only image the issues they could have with ducks if they left them alone, I can image one falling into a path and have someone step on it, falling and straining an ankle. I wonder why RC has not said anything about the ducks.

Is the price really per device? Or per use? The reason why I am asking this is because my husband and I were able to share 1 internet package. Only 1 of us could use it at a time but it was shared between 3 devices. We just had to let each other know when we want to use it. Otherwise one of us could kick the other off when we went to sign in while the other was still using the internet.

I agree to book now while the prices are cheaper. But one more thing you may want to consider - book with refundable deposit. This way, it won't cost you anything if you need to switch dates or cruises.
