The same for me (Voyager in a GS this time 2 years ago)...3 cancellations later I'm holding out for a suite this time next year on Ovation....If this Govt can open up sporting venues where people are cheek by jowl screaming for their heroes or nightclubs where a tin of sardines wouldn't envy the social distancing why are they so pig headed about cruising

yep   ,  Melbourne and Sydney have some of the highest vaccination rates in the world.
The thing is ,there’s predictions of a 4th wave around February as a result of the silly season and the vaccines waning .

Ah.  I'm not sure we can use wiki specs to determine if an Oasis class can use the Suez with funnels extended.  It's close enough that the Suez could have a variance process for exceptions or the stuff we read on the internet is just not accurate enough.  I'm not convinced the stacks on Harmony are fixed.  
There is a notched rail along the rear of the stacks and when viewed from above it has the appearance of something that might have been designed, at least at one time, to slide downwards.


 
Ironically I've started a project of sorts to take close up pictures of the stacks on each Oasis class ship.   I was just on Harmony but had to leave the cruise early and didn't get pictures of her stacks so I found these on the internet.  
 

Bookable for me.. provided I want to pay $10k for a balcony. 😉
 

I have already written Doug Ford's office and the Office of the P.M. People have had enough, it is time to live our lives again and vacations are an important part of that especially after the past two years.

Brisbane is kind of a new market I guess. If you think cruising in Australia you generally think of Sydney. Might take a few years to catch on.
I've booked short itinerary just to see what the experience is like from Brisbane. 

I don’t know if anyone has noticed that Quantam’s sales out of Brisbane are very flat.
Ovation and Radiance out of Sydney for next season are filling up and prices are sky high.Where Quantam is about 30% cheaper and there seems there is plenty of cabins available.
Someone said you can get a JS on quantum cheaper than a balcony on Ovation.
I know Brisbane has a new cruise terminal but it’s still pretty ugly.
What happens if you can only get a early flight,you would be hanging around half the day.

Feel you you folks down under.  Just when there was light appearing in the tunnel it turned out to be an inconsequential variant holding a candle and the government freaked out assuming a train was about to hit them.  Ugh.

Someone  on CC emailed Gavin Smith, boss of RC apac. He said he thinks our Fed will extend the cruise ban because of the new strain.
‘And it looks more likely cruise will start in October for RC Australia.
So much for Radiance.
Even Fiji is starting cruising with captain cook cruises.

The captain is showing those navy boys how to do a reverse park.
She is looking a bit dirty,May have to change the name to Carnival of the seas .
