This is the first time I have taken advantage of the fresh fruit smoothies at Vitality Cafe. They are included in the Refreshment and Deluxe beverage packages. They used fruit, ice, regular or almond milk and simple syrup if you wanted it sweeter. Also another place to get specialty coffee.

i’m so happy to see this! I have a ginger shot every morning. Seeing the ginger on the menu just made my day! 🙂

  2. So we tried to get both rooms that were next to each other and then they could open up the balcony. Right when i’m dishing out my credit card to RC she says I can not. Apparently  One of the balcony rooms had a crib in it 🤷‍♀️ we had to have a baby in the room to book that room. First time ever hearing about that lol. I bought them the ultra spacious ocean view balcony room. They are going to have fun running around on the ship and having a blast. Yes it’s one bathroom. 😕  I think they will be fine. They just want to get on the ship. It’s my husband’s immediate family. It will legit be a family reunion. In addition his other  older brother is getting a room as well. His mom is going to be on the cruise as well. I’m excited to have everyone cruising. Everyone is on “my time dining” and free to do whatever. Very relaxed schedule just chilling. 💪🏻

  3. So we saved a ton from periodically checking our SC suite price.  We decided to use the savings and pay for six of our family members to come on the cruise on the oasis later next year. A couple questions.

    1. 2 ocean view balcony rooms means 2 bathrooms. What is the advantage of getting a family balcony room? Trying to see what would work best for the family.  We are booking and paying for my husband’s brother and family.  A mom and dad with 2 teenagers and a tween and our mother in law. 6 total.

    2. If I book and pay will it go toward my crown and anchor points?

    3. Will I have to skip the Star Class check in and check in with the family that I booked and paid for non suite rooms? (my immediate family is traveling SC and would like to avoid the long lines )

    TIA

Labadee is also a Royal Caribbean Private Destination - The same rules in effect at Coco Cay apply for Labadee. (don't need to purchase an excursion to depart the ship)

Oh gosh for some reason I thought I had read somewhere that at coco kay you don't have to purchase but for Labadee  you would..... Good to know woot woot!

  5. I am following as well. My family is sailing SC in April on Oasis. We just (like an hour ago)  surprised my husband’s mom and his brother and family. We are paying for them to come on the cruise. They will be staying in ocean view balcony rooms. We definitely want them to come hang in the suite and we’re wondering about this very question. Thank you for asking! PERFECT TIMING! ?

  6. Such a sad incident. What is even sadder is the grandfather pleaded guilty to homicide and was charged for it. That being said the spotlight needs to be on the grandfather and his actions and not the cruise line that he was on when he acted out those actions. It’s sad that they are trying to place blame on the cruise line. Good job to the court system. I pray for peace and comfort for that family.

For Miami if driving I'd highly suggest parking at the terminal in the garage. Yes, it does cost more versus a park and go type lot but the traffic ease makes it worthwhile.

We are staying a couple days in Miami before the cruise and are looking to uber from the hotel. I just don’t want the uber guy to drop us off at the wrong place is all.

Not only have you booked the only Oasis class ship that has been amplified, you also are going to be sailing out of the new terminal in Miami, which is another big bonus !!  The suites lounge (if they are using it...which I would be very very surprised if they are not) is a completely separate area with separate elevator access.  There will be a Star Class greeter outside of the terminal that will get you where you need to go.  Do NOT give your luggage to anyone until after you check in with the SC greeter.  Your Genie will meet you in the suites waiting lounge and escort you onto the ship. Congratulations !!  Nice digs for your first Royal Caribbean cruise !

You are such a wealth of knowledge! I have read one of your blogs about the luggage. ??  Girl I will not give it to anyone lol! I am practicing my “hands off the luggage!” moves ?

U R going to love it.  Oasis was one of the last ones to get upgraded I believe so it is in top notch shape.  You will not be bored.

Consider the Group Cruise in November on Harmony if looking for something a little longer.  Great people and a great itinerary.

Oh very cool! Will look into it! ??

  10. Hi everyone. My husband, daughter, and I are set to cruise with Royal Caribbean on the Oasis 4 day sailing in April. We scored one of the new UPS rooms. I figured why not try out Royal Caribbean with a bang haha!  I have been following the group and love all the blogs! This will be my 3rd cruise. I am a total "newb" The last two were with Carnival and the worst ever. Ecstasy and Victory. Absolutely not the best ships but you have to start somewhere.  I wanted a better experience and have been wanting to try RCL for a minute. I am driving my husband crazy with "cruise talk"? I figured I could come to this forum and share my excitement with others who are just as excited. I also am planning to live blog the cruise as that room is a new room. A couple things I had questions on...

One thing I have not seen here much is tips for the Miami port. Is there a system for star class? Is it the same as the other ports I have read about?

I am a diamond member for Hilton.  Is there a Hilton in Miami that is close to the port.

Tips for the SC for a short 4 day sailing. If you had 4 days on the oasis what would you make sure to do?

We are looking at a longer cruises but figured this would get our feet wet.  Thank you for all the help and for all the interesting topics that have been posted. ?
