  1. I think for the long term benefit of the cruise industry, omicron hit at the perfect time.
  2. 10 days. I'd find a way to rent a car and drive home, no matter how far I'd have to drive, than sit in a hotel being treated like I have the plague for 10 days.
  3. Yes, that's a CDC rule. Just about every RC protocol is a CDC rule.
  4. Now that the holidays are over hopefully in person testing will start to get easier.
  5. This is another thing that has to change after the CSO. The quarantine protocols and quarantine reaction (hazmat suits and foggers) is extreme overkill and is March 2020-level. There shouldn't need to be a "quarantine deck" especially if you already have a balcony. Just quarantine in your room.
  6. Scott Gottlieb is the co-chair of the Healthy Sail Panel
  7. Harmony is booking back to Port Canaveral at 23 knots, so there might be something to it. Edit: That's Harmony's cruise speed, so that isn't a clue into anything
  8. It will be disappointing if they're following strict capacity and distancing rules for kids in AO come spring break time. Most kids are living normal day to day lives in schools and at home. But in AO it's still March 2020
  9. AO is by far the first thing that needs cleaned up after the CSO expires.
  10. I haven't seen anything in the news that could be construed as all cruises are canceled.
  11. You don't need to take a test via the test kit if that's not something you're comfortable with. By March it'll be a lot easier to go to your preferred provider or pharmacy to get a test
  12. I wonder if the liquor they tried to smuggle in got caught.
  13. 41 out of 1.1 million going to the hospital. I wonder what the pre-covid hospitalization for any cause rate was. Probably not much different than that.
  14. https://www.voyagereport.com/news/bombs-found-on-popular-mexican-tourist-ferry-near-cozumel-alert-issued/
  15. The no handcuffs rule just really puts a damper on things
  16. Cruising is as safe now as it ever has been.
  17. Sunrise in Cozumel, Adventure of the Seas, July 2021
  18. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2019/06/19/suite-royal-caribbean-worth-it As long as your budget is good with it, the only "con" is you may never want to go back to any other class of cabin again
  19. But does that apply to cruise passengers? To date the Bahamas entry requirements never affected day stop cruise passengers
  20. The only PCR test losing its EUA is the original one. That one only tested for covid. Since this summer the CDC has encouraged providers to switch to other PCR tests which tested for multiple viruses at once.
  21. There won't be a vaccine mandate on airlines. Airlines hate the idea and they're way too powerful.
