Requirements for cruising to Canada, confused?
smokeybandit replied to KevinJ's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The email is outdated since the rule change was only a week ago -
4-7 days
-
Port Canaveral back to normal operations.

Cabin close to Concierge club on Anthem
smokeybandit replied to Marmaduke's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Those suite guests and Pinnacles can get pretty rowdy between 5 and 8pm -
The overhead bunks are pullman beds. They get stowed in the ceiling/wall during the day.

Boarding at a different port in the US
smokeybandit replied to Mike6453's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
That'd work too. Either way move the test do a non-cruise date. -
Canadians> Covid protocols for cruising
smokeybandit replied to Censored's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yes. USA is the only western country requiring a vaccine to fly into. Hotels in San Juan shouldn't be affected by the hurricane. -

You'd have a better chance at getting the final moved up than to board late -
Who wears their Crown & Anchor pin? WHY?
smokeybandit replied to Censored's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I hear everyone wears their pins on the nudist cruises -
RC has abandoned hope that Port Canaveral will be available Friday and pushed Mariner and Indy to Saturday. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/notices/travel-updates

I don't think I've ever seen a non-pinnacle C&A pin worn -
Going on Allure and not spending a dime on dinner
smokeybandit replied to Tony Sky's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Many/most people don't spend an extra dime on food on board. -
MCO closing 9/28 at 10:30 am EDT
smokeybandit replied to Done's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
JVF already said it was possible that the inbound Mariner is delayed a day, and with the 10-15" of rain projected for that area I could see it. -
Mariner is the only ship risking a delay at this point. Though going to be frustrating for people trying to get into Orlando by air.

ArriveCAN ending Sept 30
smokeybandit replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
RC only has 2 east coast and 2 west coast CA cruises left this season, from my brief count -
Thanks to you both. I got it booked today through my TA, but it's good to know for future booking impulses that aren't within final payment.

What do nervous flyers do to fly?
smokeybandit replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
In all honesty, you may board that plane, sit down and realize "hey this isn't that bad" Fear of the unknown can be more debilitating than the known -
Well, as they say around here, YOLO. We just booked a Christmas cruise for this year.

Airlines losing luggage is actually quite rare. A few weeks ago I had multiple delays and two changed flights due to those delays on international flights. Yet my luggage made it with me.

I'd also suggest packing your favorite comfort snack in your carry on luggage as well as getting a bottle of soda/water/whatever in the airport. In flight services are a PITA post covid so if you need something to eat or drink, you'll have it. -
TSA REAL ID Deadline is May, 2023
smokeybandit replied to Done's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Looks like it's a state by state thing if they charge extra (beyond regular license fees) for a REAL ID -

If you go the medication route, try a dose before you fly to see how you handle it. It can make you more miserable during and after the flight. Distractions are your best bet. Load up your favorite phone/tablet with lots of shows/movies. The minute you sit in your seat, start watching.
