  1. Does anyone know what the new Crown and Anchor amenities toiletry bag looks like? size?
  2. Still waiting for a block from December.....
  3. I have been on cruises over Halloween and they did decorate and have a costume contest
  4. If using travel agent she/he can print them
  5. Have been on Symphony several times, and just got of her earlier this month. Can't go wrong. Nice ship. It did go to Coco Cay this month and I do love Coco Cay. I have Wonder booked later this year. So I cannot compare the ships. I would go with Symphony for sure. One, is you can pick your cabin. I am not fond of having them pick my cabin, especially on a ship that will no doubt be full. I would not be happy getting a cabin in the front of the ship or under/near a noisy venue. I also cruise for 2 weeks every December and weather is always been nice. Enjoy your cruise!
  6. My husband and daughter-in-law signed up on the ship without any problem.
  7. My first cruise was in 1984. On Carnival. But do not remember the name of the ship. Although I still have the brochure in a file somewhere.
  8. I always carry off all my luggage on a cruise. And usually carry it all on also. It is not an issue for us. Even going to restaurants, etc. But we do not bring large suitcases. Even for trip over 2 weeks.
  9. Is there a Vitality Cafe on Odyssey?
  10. Just look at your cruise planner and the amount will be there as a credit. Usually posts right away. I got notifications and so does my travel agent. I have already rec'd it for April cruise too.
  11. I have already done it for our late April cruise. So, I would do it earlier for sure.
  12. If it were $700 more for the room, not per person, I may consider it. I have sailed in Jr Suites a lot. Larger bathroom with tub, coffee maker in room, larger room and balcony, some ships a walk-in closet, and Coastal Kitchen for dinner. I really enjoy Coastal Kitchen. I am not sure if Jr suites qualify for priority seating in shows, as I am Diamond+ and already get priority seating with that status. But it is entirely up to the individuals as to what they value and what price is worth something.
  13. Also may depend on which suite you are in
  14. Royal-Up is not run by RC. So, calling them does not help. The 3rd party vendor doing Royal-Up tries to get the most money they can and can change the minimum bids depending on how the bidding is going. I have bid the maximum bid on cabins and did not get them. Obviously were many maximum bids, and not sure how they decide from there? First to bid maybe? Or category of cabin you are moving from?
  15. Yes, prices are higher. Just like everything else. I book my cruises mostly as soon as they are published. If the prices drop you can change your price, as long as it is before final pymt. Pretty much though, when you book that early you will have the best price.
  16. I personally would book the cruise.
  17. You should not have any issues seeing the shows. I was on a cruise this month and went to several shows without reservations. You usually have to wait until 15 prior to the show to get in. But I went to late night comedy show 2 times and both were never sold out and they let me in right away. Most shows have lots of people who do not show up and you can get seats if you are in the stand by line. But continue to monitor the show reservations and seats do come available prior to the shows. Enjoy
  18. You can go stand-by for the shows. There are always seats. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
  19. My travel agent sends me the reservation confirmation the day it is booked. You should get it right away. I was scammed once, about 35 years ago and did not get any money back. Also lost airfares and hotel. I have now had the same travel agent for about 30 years. They are worth their weight in gold! She has saved me thousands over the years. Sorry this happened to you and do not get discouraged using a travel agent in the future.
  20. I am also on Symphony I am also on Symphony
  21. I am going on a solo cruise (first time) this coming Saturday. Jan. 28th. Originally my sister was going. I will pay extra for the cabin but also now recieve extra points. My sister canceled before final pymt. so I made the new arrangements before final pymt for my solo cruise. I am looking forward to a solo cruise actually.
  22. I always pick my cabins and make sure public areas are not above me. So, mostly I choose a cabin with cabins above mine and below. No problems.
  23. I agree. I sometimes get chilly indoors with the AC. Only a light jacket or sweater is all I bring. And I usually wear that on the plane anyway, so doesn't not take up any extra baggage room.
  24. I always get the paper Cruise Compass. Either I ask at front desk or our cabin attendant. But then I am over 65! haha I will be on Symphony this Sat
  25. Ruben's! It is a beautiful hotel, closest to Buckingham Palace, across street from the Mews. Fantastic breakfast. We have stayed there several times. Get a themed room if you can. Highly recommend this hotel. Was there again this past year for 4 nights.
