I guess no one really knows for sure with future cruises.

The crew does not even know until a couple days before the cruise. Best thing is to find a crew member or someone on the previous cruise and ask if they con find out a couple days before debarkation of the precious cruise. The number ar changing so rapidly with startup and cancelations of people testing positive or deciding not to go for other reasons.

  2. I have seen most cruises up to the end of the year have moved from Haiti to a sea day or Nassau. The cruise I am on November 15th still has Haiti as a stop and RC has not moved the stop to something else.

I was just curious how far out RC has moved off from going to Haiti and going somewhere else. I thought I saw a new post or something but I cant find it.

  3. Good luck .. me and my TA have been showing them that they owe us $325, even the numbers they gave us show they owe us but they will not budge. They even went so far to try and refund me $200 back to My cc and removed it from another booking. This is fraud and they need to be held accountable. I am paying off my cruise except for $325 and telling them I am considering it Paid in Full ... they can figure it out or I might get a lawyer or advocate involved. My TA, Amex, is beside themselves at how much RC accounting system is a load of crap.

  4. I saw on another website something about the Carnival Mardi Gras not being able to let passengers off in San Juan unless they have proof of vaccination? I know right now San Juan is not stopping non vaccinated people from coming in on plane but this is new to hear about cruise ships.

Has anyone else seen or heard about this? Something about a port agreement with Carnival itself?

I know Celebrity usually bases a Millennium class ship out of SJ.  There are no Celebrity sailings form SJ through the end of March '22 - I didn't look any further. RCL predominates in that market through March with Silver Sea and NCL showing up there in November '21 and January '22 respectively.

I am seeing Carnival and MSC going out of PR in August, are they not going anymore?

  6. So for the lay person here I just want to understand where we are now ...

The CSO as it stand turns into a guideline on 12:01am July 18th, and the CDC is currently appealing it but has been denied an injunction to stop it.

So if they can't get it heard by the appellate courts by then, the DSL becomes a guideline, and all the red tape of test cruises and so forth in FL goes away and the cruise industry can regulate themselves on the basis of dealing with a Covid outbreak and sailing safely?

What happens to other states and territories like Alaska Cruises and cruises out of Puerto Rico in the caribbean? Does the CSO also turn into a guideline for them?

  7. So I am on the Vision of the Seas out of PR on September the 12th, and seeing the first ship sailing out of PR is the Vision of the Seas on September 5th, I am just wondering what is the chance of the cruise getting canceled and then having to deal with the BS FCC again to get on another ship later. I am trying to decide if I should just bail now and book for another ship in September.

With Test sailing for the CSO underway I do not see the Vision on any list to get certified. I know if the CSO goes away then no Test Cruises needed, but then does RC just get the crew back on the ship and start the engines and off sailing we go again?

  8. Seeing that Royal Caribbean has different class ships, I saw in a post that the Allure was doing their testing on July 27-29th 2021, and now I see that Oasis is doing test cruises as well on August 22-28th 2021.

OK here come the dumb question ...

Aren't these Test cruises on the same class ship redundant and not necessary? and will then all cruise ships that sail from a US port need to undergo test sailings at some point?

    Or am I missing something?
