  1. Seems to me someone's looking for attention. Anyone have a bottle ??
  2. I'm going to miss picking out my extra crispy well done bacon at breakfast ?
  3. True. But I prefer to do things (especially business related things) in person instead of via email and phone calls, and as of now my travel agent is still working at home instead of the office. I'll turn it over to them once this becomes finalized.
  4. I tend to agree. Last night I called up Royal myself and tried to book a new cruise, then do lift and shift. The agent wouldn't let me. She basically said her supervisor wouldn't let her. Needless to say, I didn't book anything with her last night. I did however come up with a plan B based on what other posters in this thread and others have done. I should have an answer on it tomorrow.
  5. That's what I saw too. So if I'm reading it correctly, you cannot use the lift & shift on a new reservation, which I'm guessing is something booked after this program was put into place, only an existing reservation, something booked before this program was put into place. It's being reported here that it can and has been done. I guess it depends on which RCCL agent one's travel agent speaks with.
  6. I tried this this morning with my travel agent. She contacted Royal Caribbean and was told this only applies to existing bookings. In Matt's blog posting the other day it was put down that you could create a new reservation and lift & shift https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/05/11/royal-caribbean-lift-and-shift-information-frequently-asked-questions Does it matter when a cruise was booked? Guests are eligible to rebook under the Lift & Shift guidelines between now and August 1, 2020. After this point, Lift & Shift expires and is no longer eligible. All existing bookings, as well as bookings made between now and August 1, 2020 are eligible. I searched on Royal Caribbean's website and couldn't find any info saying that you could do this.
  7. If I missed it somewhere I'm sorry. Where did it say Royal was doing away with the freestyle cups? That's all you need. Some kind of disinfectant wipe dispenser near the machine to wipe down the touchscreen if you like and/or a hand sanitizer dispenser you could use after you've made your selection.
  8. It depends on how it is worded. I had a similar situation with FCC and was able to have my travel agent get Royal to apply it to a later cruise. It's no guarantee but use a travel agent if you can. They have better means to get things done over us.
  9. I understand. I had gotten a FCC from a cruise last year and it was worded in a way that stated it would have to be used on a cruise before our next one which is this December. I brought it to our travel agent and he was able to call Royal up and have it applied to that cruise. What they did was apply it to the base cruise fare. I wish it could have been applied as some kind of discount because the cruise price had dropped below what we were originally paying a few weeks later, but with the FCC applied to the base rate, that was lower.
  10. Was on Enchantment of the Seas in December, 2018. In fact that's where we booked our "Next Cruise" for this December. Yes she's an older smaller ship, but she still does the job of bringing you a great vacation. Look up everything Royal Caribbean has on her on their website and check out the Cruise Compass section of this blog to give you an idea of what goes on during a typical cruise.
  11. As posted earlier it can be hit or miss, and can also be annoying if you have them up too loud which is why I use an earpiece. Some of the better models do come with them. I bought a pair of Midland GXT1000P4 GMRS 2-way radios to use on cruises and we have had relatively good luck with them so far.
  12. It is https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/05/06/royal-caribbean-greatly-expands-ability-guests-cancel-and-rebook-cruises-later
  13. But with the case of the $18.00 DBP, it actually was true and quite a few of us a few took advantage of it.
  14. I know that's gotta be wrong, but wow $1,287 per person for the Villa Suite? Is there a minimum number of guests required? Who put that in? Probably the same person who put in the $18.00 Deluxe Drink Package last year ?
  15. FWIW, I use an earpiece with mine. And most of the time It's my wife calling me while I'm at the art auction

  17. Which drink package is that? Right now $34.00 is the going rate for the Refreshment Package on my Harmony of the Seas cruise in November, 2021. The price for that as well as the other drink packages will go down closer to your sailing date. You'll start getting emails about the sales if you opted in for them. Keep checking though, they can drop (and go up) at almost anytime. Around Thanksgiving time is a good time too.
  18. Here's a copy/paste from Matts posting yesterday under the title: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/04/29/royal-caribbean-offers-updates-refunds-odyssey-of-the-seas-and-the-presidents-cruise Another question asked as if there would be any changes to Royal Caribbean's President's Cruise on October 25 out of Barcelona on Allure of the Seas. Royal Caribbean's manager of the Sales Training Team, Renee Didier, answered, "The President's Cruise is still in our scope, and of course we're going to look forward to welcoming our guests onboard. So right now, we are still planning that cruise.
  19. I miss looking over the side of the ship at the blue water. And of course there's always the view from the back of the ship. I know there's you tube videos on this, but the actual wake view, now that's the best view.
  20. Try looking up Marvelous Tours. They have several different Nassau tours available. We did the Bahama Bonanza tour last year and it was great.
  21. I had started checking out excursions for our cruise on Oasis of the Seas this December earlier this year. Wrote some of them down that we interested in, but didn't reserve any. Now the prices have gone up on them. Only 1 of the excursions we were interested in was discounted, and that was brought down to $1.00 more then what the regular price was earlier this year. I always try to book a cruise as far in advance as I can and have gotten some good deals because of that most of the time, but usually I don't to that for excursions even though I know it's the same thing with cruise prices and anything else cruise planner wise, if the price goes down, it can be re-priced or cancelled if something better comes along. My bad, I need to do the same when it comes to reserving excursions too.
