Pattycruise reacted to FionaMG in D+ WIFI Benefit
In my experience, and as @smokeybandit and @Pattycruise said, if someone has purchased an Internet package, which is the OP's case, the free days are locked/hidden and you can't get to them without the assistance of the voom person.
@MidwestIA, I'm guessing it's been a while since you've used the Internet onboard? Since Royal switched to Starlink, there's no slow/fast Internet any more; it's all the same speed. Just so you're aware for the next time you might want to use it. 🙂

I probably won't use OBC again before the cruise. All the extra hoops I've jumped through - and continue to jump through to make sure I have proof (because I'm not holding my breath that my internet purchase will show up in my order history like the RC rep said it would...) in case I have to go to guest services once on board.
In the future - they will go towards gratuities!

WOW, this is the first I’m hearing of something like this with the OBC. Personally I will not use the OBC due to the Black Friday catastrophe 2 years ago where I had to spend days pouring over bank statements to understand their refunds and adjustments and how I ended up owing them money because of duplicate refunds. Now I let the OBC sit and it can go towards my gratuities.
glad you figured it out!!

Yes absolutely. I have even welcomed the people who sit next to me and tell them to enjoy their big win…within a matter of minutes they get a big win, and I say “you’re welcome”. 🤣
I did pick a bank of 3 machines one time, no one at any and thought about it. One machine on the right had a mirror next to it so I chose that seat, figuring I was now “next to me”…the machine was great to me!🤣 maybe I should bring mirrors with me!

Do you have multiple reservations linked together for that sailing?
Or someone else in your cabin
if linked reservations you may have clicked on someone else’s reservation to do the booking. their system fires not care whose credit card was used, only the person (name) who made the reservation can change it.
A daughter was my “secretary” for me one day as we were driving she was reading prices of stuff for our cruise so I told her to book the beach. The beach went cheaper and I attempted to cancel and rebook, and had the same message as you. My daughter had to log into her account to cancel the beach and then I booked it.
With Internet you should be able to make the purchase on your account and then figure out where the purchase was made under and cancel it.

Funny-I has commented to my daughter that the food and bread were fresh on the last day…so the survey would be good!
I’m sticking to my motto for Royal “consistently inconsistent”. It amazes me how much things within one sailing can vary as well as ship to ship or even week to week when doing a back to back on the same ship.

Pattycruise reacted to VillainsGin in Forgot to cash Casino ship
I actually have a story regarding that and it's what happened that officially changed my paranoid behavior of people stealing my chips.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SHORY STORY:
I was at staying at bellagio in las vegas playing baccarat, had to grab my phone from the room in case my significant other needed to reach me.
I came back and noticed immediately half my $100 chip stack was gone. I reported it to the dealer and within 10 minutes, I'm not kidding, they found the guy who took it and my chips were returned WITH complimentary buffet & O show tickets for the inconvenience.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I then got the chance to talk with the security (not the security you typically see on the floor, he was from upstairs) and he told me they have the highest quality cameras some with 100x zoom and still maintains 1080p quality or 4k while zoomed maxed (some with thermal) and face recognition software that rivals the pentagon. Even if the culprit got away and they verified your chips were indeed stolen they would recoup your losses and 100% give you complimentary services or credit. He told me the #1 policy they always have to get right "is keeping the faith of the gamblers"
Every since then I pray someone steals my chips so I can get my chips recouped AND free stuff from the business lol

DItto
Nope. Where are they going to run off to? Remember everyone in the casino is also on vacation. It's not like land based casinos where there could be people with only bad intentions who could then run out quickly.
The chances of having your chips swiped (on purpose) on the ship is extremely small. Then on top of that, the chances of not seeing who did it on camera is even smaller. Then on top of that, the chances of the person getting off the ship before finding them is practically zero.
Now having said all that, I still make sure to know my exact chip count before leaving just in case something does happen. Then I could at least report a possible theft and how much.

One thing that might be fun is to have a sub-forum - with Threads that are just named for the ship. "Icon of the Seas Reviews". "Harmony of the Seas Reviews" "Liberty of the Seas Reviews" - You can't start a new thread - you comment on existing thread and add your review.

When the AI comes on keep saying loyalty ambassador. Do not enter your crown and anchor number or speak any other words you’ll get trapped in a loop (let’s try this another way, your phone number doesn’t match etc. trust me!) after the third time you say loyalty ambassador they will connect you. Those are the people you want to speak with

Pattycruise got a reaction from Ampurp85 in Royal Amplified
I’m on Liberty B2B2B and sailed her twice last month I’ve been in Sabor 4 of my 5 sailings (traveled y with different people ran time so it was new to them. It has actually been busy. Tonight they were serving 92 people overall-the 4 waiters did a wonderful job.
I ate at Giovanni’s last week and must say i won’t be going back. The Osso bucco was cut like a steak. The polenta tasted “burnt, the replacement chicken piccata was edible but not really good. I’d take Sabor any day-especially the hand crafted margarita (if they make it right).

It is. We're on the Liberty Transatlantic (4/3-4/19/26) that drops off in Southampton before heading to dry dock. The amplification will occur right after that cruise.

Pattycruise reacted to PhillyLady in Greek Isle Cruise
Cruising in the Mediterranean is my favorite location in the world, and I have been blessed to enjoy the beauty of those blue waters for decades. I often feel that when I am on the water there traveling by boat I am following in the footsteps (the waves!) of great mythological figures like Odysseus and historical figures like Antipater of Sidon, who helped create the list of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Strangely enough, I almost always travel to Greece in the Summer, and I have never found anything closed. Hours may be adjusted, however, with earlier openings or later closings to avoid the hottest parts of the day. Yes, the sun can be hot, but you just have to prepare. Occasionally there are wildfire threats.
We enjoy Celebrity because they offer comprehensive full day excursions with lunch included, similar to other lines like Princess (another line we often choose). My goal is never to save as much money as I can, but rather to SEE and DO as much as I can with limited time. After all, I chose this itinerary for the ports, not just for the cruise ship. Flying to Europe can be pricey!
Rhodes is a wonderful place, and the medieval old city is very walkable from the ship, and certainly visiting the Palace of the Grand Masters is an interesting experience (lots of remodeling). We took a short walking tour to get our bearings, but then spent hours exploring, shopping, eating, etc. If you want to see an ancient site, you can head over to the Lindos Acropolis. Of course the beaches are famous and popular in Rhodes as well. We did not want to leave!
To me, visiting Ephesus is a must-see in life. We took a very busy but marvelous ship tour (we were first off the ship) that stopped at Mary's home, the Basilica of St. John, and caught a glimpse of the Artemis temple ruins, but strolling through Ephesus itself was the highlight. Our tour guide provided so much detail and information, and the sights were just so superb--remember Cleopatra and Alexander the Great both walked these same streets! Another place I did not want to depart--just so much to see, and not enough time. After the tour we spent a short time shopping right at the port (nice bazaar), then had to run back to the ship.
Okay, Mykonos, the playground of the jet set. However, I prefer to head off to Delos once I arrive, the desolate but stunning sanctuary of the gods. This ancient island has a number of great ruins to explore, especially the famous Terrace of the Lions. If archaeology is not your thing, you can find some great beaches on Mykonos, or spend a lot on shopping, or have a nice lunch with the view of the windmills.
Arrival in Santorini is stunning--going to Oia is a must-do for the photo op and yes, it is usually quite crowded, but we took a tour that also brought us to famous Akrotiri, the possible original site of the Atlantis myth. Fira can get very busy and the cable car line can be very, very long (if it is even operating after all the earthquakes).
I have not yet been to Thessaloniki, but it looks like a pretty city to visit.
Well, I almost always build a pre-and post-land component into all my cruises, so I can stay for a few days and see more things, especially museums and local sites. I try to get a hotel with a pool so I can relax in the heat.
Next month we are cruising to Iceland and Ireland--I will be bringing my raincoat.
Have fun planning, and bon voyage!

For me it is not even close. Solarium vs The Hide Away...the Solarium hands down is the clear winner.
In my opinion the Solarium on Freedom class is better than Icon Hide Away.

Pattycruise got a reaction from Kelly968 in Will I like Oasis after going on Icon
I’ve done a number of sailings on Oasis class including Oasis-and the other a royal classes. . Icon blew me away. I will say you’ll need to change your expectations. Icon is amazing-the food choices/amazing. I felt it was like cruising used to be when you could find good food around the clock. You won’t find that on any other Royal ship. The suite pool area and food-on icon-fantastic/you won’t find that on their other classes. Yes it’s a step down. That said since my Icon sailing I’ve sailed Wonder (Oasis class) and Liberty (Freedom class) and I do think each ship class has something different to offer and it’s not always about the ship-it can also be about the itinerary-and of course the people you sail with.
