  1. They actually do. I made it to D+ on comped cruises.
  2. I did magnets once and they were stolen. I would never think to take something that didn't belong to me and personally I side eye any grown adult, teenager and child over 10 that does. Tiny humans under 5 can honestly be confused by them when so much is available for them to enjoy. But a grandma such a bad example to her grandchildren.
  3. The probability may be low but to answer your questions. Royalup only charges for the first two guests. So names being listed don't matter. They will charge you the remainder of gratuity if applicable. I can't say if it will be included in the upgrade fee or if it will happen onboard. Your check-in is tied to the reservation number and won't be affected. Suites have leeway but not a particularly different time. That means if you have 12pm you can come at 11 or 1pm. Since royalup can happen all the way to sailing time, luggage tags are up in the air. You may have to get tags at the port if you are upgraded after the manifest closes. Otherwise they will update and you can print all the way until 3 days before you depart.
  4. @DoomSlayer I find the free offers to be hit or miss. I have maintained my prime status, cruise around 4+ times a year, and average 1700-2000pt a cruise, and I get maybe 1 offer a year. While my bffs mother cruised only once a year averaging 800pt and gets the monthly offers. She never made prime but consistently since 2021 she gets offers every month. We are both slot players.
  5. I am loving the blog I priced the retreat on Xcel for Jan 2026. It's not a bad price, under $10k for 3 of us and that's probably because of the black Friday sale. However looking at the menus I am particularly worried . I'm a picky eater and the specialty restaurants seem heavy on seafood. I was also wondering is it 4 devices pp or 4 devices for the suite?
  6. How's your mom enjoying the food? I like the late-night options, but that pizza actually looks slightly worse than Sorrento's.
  7. Play. The casino on board isn't like the casinos on land. On Royal you have to reach 2500pts at least to get free drinks in the casino. At that threshold you would qualify for a free cruise from a listing and an annual free cruise when the "year" ends (it goes from April 1st to March 31st of each year).
  8. I would guess possibly around 1:30/2pm. Boarding usually is done 90min before departure. So, based on how it works when a ship departs between 4:30 and 5, I figured the whole thing is about 6hrs, give or take.
  9. I love when you blog because you give great details. I would so do a celebrity group cruise but it's always during summer break.
  10. That suite is on point. But I also can't wait for the oasis sailing.
  11. Hey @AshleyDillo tell you mom and brother congrats on making pin. I don't know why I thought you were at or over 340 already. I was just telling @asquared17 I was looking into a celebrity sailing now that I am D+. I am really looking forward to your blog .
  12. Actually, you blasted me, and I replied to you. You seem to indicate that if an experience doesn't match yours, it is inaccurate and wrong. In that post I wasn't even the one who linked my experience. I posted this because we all have been subject to different times of check-in. I put it under rumors because it could just be at Galveston. Or at least as a warning that not all ports and ships will have a 10:30 check-in. Wonder sails out of PC: not only could they have a 10:30 check-in but they often don't enforce the check-in. The same way if a ship leaves at 3pm from Port Liberty might have a 10am check-in.
  13. @Vlad My cruise is a casino comp, so book through Casino Royale which is Royal. It isn't under "pricing summary" but payment history. My refund doesn't show. Those are charges from CP and the pending charge is the one that includes that refund.
  14. This is what it says, this excursion was brought on the 8th and then returned on the 10th for a lower price. When I click on payments it shows the CP purchases as part of the balance.
  15. @Dad2Cue is right. They are mixing everything together. My 2024 Quantum sailing was paid in full but now it is showing I owe a $204.99 balance, while I have $395 in pending charges. Those charges are listed as paid on CP. But when I go to the balance it is saying and listing those charges as a whole. I think that is the issue in general, that since you can now buy the DX when your purchase the cruise, they are including everything in regard to payments.
  16. You can call the order in from any phone across the ship. Not all ships/classes have Izumi to go or for takeout. It is much easier on the bigger class ships like Quantum and Oasis
  17. @CruzOnBye Nov is a sort of shoulder season month, so those prices are still high. I can only imagine what the July-September prices will be, not to mention the inaugural.
  18. This could be true. The prices in general are high but I honestly think $2500pp for an interior could be the highest for an interior inaugural. Royal is following trends, but they aren't stupid.
  19. I was guilty of the sway of black Friday this year. It was very easy to justify purchases when things are up to 50% off. I know how to stop myself, but the allure was there. I always get internet and a dining package, but I rarely buy excursions. However, this time I am doing Alaska, so I was glad to save 30-40% and brought more than I normally would. I hardly ever get off at PDCC now but my brother found some good deals and splurged.
  20. I would say sort of similar, maybe between $1900 and $2500 in interiors. Because I was originally booked on the inaugural and my GTY was $4900 for two people.
  21. As a person who lives in Chicago, I get you on the travel. The last few years I have been putting shorts in my carry-on/personal item. I also purchased a packable short Land's End puffer for travel. It is super warm but folds up small, so I don't suffer when I get to Florida during the winter months. I also hope you win your RUB. If the options were that cheap for my last sailing with a group, I would have bid for all of us.
  22. @Lovetocruise2002 You explained it well A ship can have open availability just not in the area you are located. So if you are trying to book a room, you can easily but if you are trying to book an aft room on deck 6, you might not be able to because of lifeboat capacity.
  23. It rain in Honduras last month on Allure as well. I was just telling my people that Wonderland is usually a "one and done" for most people. The food is a bit too frou frou, but the drinks are really good.
  24. IMHO Grandeur , while beautiful, isn't worth more than a max of $100/N......and I am being generous given inflation and all that. But wow those prices are insane, like I thought Europe was bad but.......
  25. I am having the same issue. I have a whole order that was charged, it shows up in my order history, but it dropped from credit card.
