  1. I wonder if Poole realized he had that bra on upside down. Nevermind....
  2. Although I have never done it myself, I still think you CAN link these 2 reservations...it will just probably require you to call and have them do it. A hassle, I know...but I think it can be done.
  3. If it will help with your anxiety, Tony, I will tell you that my experience on Allure last month was wonderful. Those ladies really had their stuff together and had answers for all of our questions. They had all of the details on our past points and our tier levels (which was all I was really worried about at the time). Things were smooth. I hope they are the same for you.
  4. On our one and only a TransAtlantic, a number of years ago, we used the old ChoiceAir and their price for the return from London was very good. Haven’t used then since, though.
  5. I am looking to price an open jaw Panama Canal cruise that leaves out of San Diego and returns from Miami. While Air2Sea rarely (never?) works out cheaper for North American flights I thought I would just check to see if they might have an affordable price for this bizarre itin. The cruise is in Mar 19 and A2S doesn’t have prices for this cruise yet. I doubt it will work out but I thought I would check it out. The truth is, I have some United miles that are going to expire next year anyway so I will probably just end up using them. I also just wondered what happened to A2S since the website kicked them to the curb. ??
  6. I understand your concern. Why pay for internet if you will get it as a perk. I guess the good news is, it will only be a mystery this one time. After your next cruise, you will know for sure and then you will be able to plan accordingly from then forward. As you said, the most important thing to us is waiving the 5% fee with free drinks coming a close second. After that I don’t really care.
  7. I agree with you, Stephanie. It seems insane that they don't all have the same information. I will say, however, that you will probably get whatever information you need when you get on board. Dan and I were both able to get our tier levels from the casino hostess(es) on board and they seemed to have all of the information - the points count from the first qualifying period, etc. Not sure they will know about friends and family.... If it's true that the shoreside CR people don't have any information it's b/c the information has been withheld from them for whatever reason. SOMEbody has the information or it couldn't get out to the ships....so I find it hard to believe that nobody at CR customer service knows anything. So frustrating. I have been reading on CC and other sites that we are supposed to be getting an email by the end of May that will tell us about our free cruises. I won't hold my breath on that one since this program is now more than 2 years behind schedule.
  8. I rarely use the Royal Caribbean airfare system but I need to price some airfare and wonder....where the he*l is it now that they have the wonderful new and improved website ?
  9. Nope. Nada. I am in the same "boat" as you, Tony. I know my tier level but only b/c I cruised recently. I haven't heard a PEEP from anyone on land. I can't believe that any division of Royal Caribbean International is run WORSE than their IT Dept. but the Casino Department just MIGHT be vying for that prestigious title.
  10. That actually sounds pretty awesome !! Yes, there is a bucket of gravy but they just pour some over the sandwich or if you ask, they will give you a small bowl of it to dip. At first it was always a yummy au jus which was nice and light. Then they started using a dark brown thick gravy which was horrible. I never know what we're going to get. Allure in April had the thick gravy. UGH.
  11. A Hochberg sighting ! I was wondering if there would be one !
  12. Correct. You purchase 2 BOGO plans and that allows the 2 of you to eat 2 specialty dining meals, each. You can have the first meal either night #1 or night #2. When you schedule the second meal is a bit more nebulous. These days most ships allow you to eat that second meal whenever you want it. They used to be stricter about when that second one was scheduled. If you want to meet your MDR wait staff, I recommend that you eat in the MDR on night #1 and schedule the first of your BOGO meals for night #2. This is what we always do. Once that first one is scheduled, you can ask what your options are for BOGO #2. This way, you will have a chance to pick your table (if you are doing My Time Dining) and meet your wait staff. I don't recall whether you are doing My Time Dining or Traditional Dining. But, if you are doing MTD, here's an important tip. IF you are happy with both your table location and your wait staff, be SURE and tell the maitre'd, on your way out, that want to KEEP that table for the rest of the evenings that you will be dining in the MDR. Be sure and let them know when you will NOT be there (nights you are eating elsewhere) so that they can give your table to someone else on those nights. They will tell you that they will try and accommodate your wishes but I have only had this backfire once. Normally there is no problem with getting the same table every night as long as they know that you want to be there. If you are eating at different times every night this can complicate things but they will still try and hold that table for you if they can.
  13. Welcome, Mush ! Glad to have you come out of the shadows !!
  14. If you like the thick gravy then you will love the beef on weck on Allure. I HATE the gravy - much prefer the au jus. It's been very hit-and-miss lately with these sandwiches but it seems that more often than not, they have the thick gravy, which completely ruins the sandwich for me. I just left the gravy off on my Allure trip last month. I used lots of horseradish and it was fine.
  15. I think that Wonderland is not eligible for the BOGO special but there is no Wonderland on Allure so it's not an issue for you. You've picked 2 good options for the BOGO special. I think it's well worth the money for those 2 restaurants.
  16. Unlike Carnival, on RCCL you cannot use your Seapass card to get "credits" to play the slots. You must use cash only at a slot machine (the single exception is at the end of the cruise if you are given free play as a result of your accumulated points). If you purchase either cash or chips at the cashier's cage or at a table, you will be charged 5% (they call it a "convenience fee") unless you are a Club Royale VIP player at the Prime Tier or higher. Actually, I'm not sure you CAN even purchase cash at the cashier's cage anymore. You used to be able to do that but now I think what they do is give you a voucher for whatever amount of credits you want and you must then take that voucher to a machine and use it there.
  17. Yeah, the hooks I bought (Amazon) were not strong enough and whatever I tried to hang kept slipping down the wall. Will have to get something stronger for next trip.
