  1. Isn't LV also available in Miami and Port Canaveral ? I thought it was at all of the "big 3" Florida ports + Seattle.
  2. Yes. Your boarding passes will be delivered to your stateroom.
  3. No. Luggage valet is awesome. It's the best service, for the money, that RC offers, IMO. Royal Caribbean did lose one of our suitcases on disembarkation out of Galveston but it had nothing to do with Luggage Valet.
  4. I don’t believe there are any rules against air fresheners.
  5. Thanks for the update. I was musing earlier whether or not she had been extricated from the arms of the killer cranes.
  6. I have to laugh...I just went through the same scenario with the dining package on my Thanksgiving NAV Cruise. The price on the package dropped from $106 to $95 so I cancelled and as quickly as I could, rebooked. The price on the drinks pkg had dropped from $56 PP/PD to $49 so I went ahead and purchased that too. No way would I pay $56 but $49, while still too much, was palatable. Frankly, I was surprised to see a price drop of any kind on that cruise b/c of it being a holiday cruise. Nice surprise though.
  7. Welcome, Ken ! I know you will enjoy your cruise. Nice to have you in our community.
  8. I don't see how they couldn't regret it ! The O class has been such a sensation and has changed the cruise industry forever. I imagine Carnival is kicking themselves every day for not bringing their concept forward.
  9. LOL. You're trying to use REAL math. Royal uses a different kind of math. It never works out....
  10. You get all of the amenities associated with your upgrade, but you just don't get any booking benefits - so no OBC or whatever they may be offering as a booking incentive. You also do not get double points....correct.
  11. Nothing into 2020 is coming up for me for the cruise planner (food or beverages, at least) so I suspect that they haven't released any pricing for 202 or beyond yet. I'm sure they're looking for chances to increase prices if they can !
  12. Yes, you will pay a higher gratuity but you will also get all of the suites amenities ! Unfortuntely, Liberty does not include Voom in their suites amenities but you will get access to the Suites Lounge and breakfast every morning in Chops, just to mention a few.
  13. On the ships I’ve sailed that had the key card any card would work. We just used an old Sea Pass card.
  14. We had Charlie last year. He is wonderful. Tell him Dan and a Raye say “hello”. I know that John and Jaye also had Charlie as their Genie a number of weeks ago. We will be sailing in a GPS on Oasis in December ( I hope !). Please post lots of pix so that we can see what we have to look forward to ! It seems as if the balcony on these suites is a bit narrow but I guess we’ll survive ! I also ignore those silly questions on the initial SC questionnaire. Wow you only have 10 days to go ! Lucky you.
  15. Nice shot there at the end showing the water slides’ progress.
  16. From what I have read, the full refund is for the cruise that was cancelled, minus the cost of any cruise insurance purchased. As far as a future cruise, the future cruise certificate (FCC) will be in the amount of the cruise fare portion only. So "free equivalent cruise" isn't exactly accurate but pretty close.
  17. Oh I'm not suggesting that they would scuttle it completely. I'm just concerned that it might get scaled back. Hopefully my fears are unfounded. That "relaunch" idea is precisely what I am worried about ! If they add a few bits and dabs to it now - enough to say "new and improved" then they may not feel the need to do another HUGE dry dock again in October/November. Oh well...there is no way of knowing until we know. Worrying won't help not matter what so I will just forget about it !
  18. I would love to have Hooked but I nervous, with the recent incident, that they will modify the amp plans for Lady O. I hope they don't...but I fear they might.
  19. When I visit a new port I always take one of the "familiarization" type of excursions that is basically just an overall tour of the area. That way I will know where I might want to go back and visit if I make it back again. ...but then again, I am not all that adventurous nor that much of a beach person so these kinds of tours are fine for me. If you are looking for a high energy experience, the familiarization tour is probably going to be boring for you.
  20. The Radiance class ships are very elegant, IMO. A lot of wood and glass. Really stunning views. ...but they do lack a Promenade if that is something that you like. The Centrum is (as its name implies) a "Central" area of the ship that is open to many stories above it. It usually has an elegant stair case leading from the Centrum up a deck or 2 (of course, ships with Promenades also have beautiful stair cases). The retail area on a Radiance class ships is much smaller than on a ship with a Promenade. The stateroom hallways on Radiance class ships are VERY narrow - in fact Radiance class ships, in general, are very narrow (intentionally). The Radiance class ships were designed and built to navigate smaller bodies of water so they are overall, smaller than some of the other ship classes.
  21. Is this a cruise that you booked as a result of the TA cancellation or one that you already had booked ? If it is a new booking, booked in place of the cancelled cruise I would call back again and speak with someone until you get this rectified. You should be getting your OBC as well as the cost of the cruise. If this is an already-booked cruise, I don't know if you have a legitimate claim on this or not....but I certainly would try again.
