I can't really fault your logic here. Without a Suites Lounge, no Suites restaurant and no complimentary internet to go along with the full suite, I can't argue that the value for a full suite isn't as evident as it is on an O or Q class ship. We just like the extra room and the convenient location but those suites are just going to keep going up in price as the sail date approaches. Maybe there will be a RoyalUp !!

Yes, we are on the GC out of Boston and very excited. Dan has been after me to book a NE/CAN cruise for years and I kept shoving it to the back of the list....but this time, we're going to do it !! Yes, we are in an Owner's Suite and you are right, it is pricey...but we are so completely and utterly spoiled that on a 7 night cruise I really need my suite ! It's funny b/c for MONTHS there were 2 OS left and then suddenly...poof...one day they were both gone at the same time. There are only 2 situations where I would not spend the money for a full suite....that is on a Vision class ship (I HATE the location of the full suites. They are waaay out of the way from where I want to be most of the time and they are noisy) and on a very short cruise (3 or 4 nights), where I think the suites are waaay overpriced on a per-night basis - particularly on NAV. If Matt and Annette book a group hotel, we will stay there if it is a Marriott property. Otherwise, we will find a close Marriott property and stay with points. I still have a brazillion points I need to use with Marriott.

Sorry if I missed it....but what are they preparing for ?

Here is an excerpt from the Genie email that I just got this weekend. This is for Oasis. Star Class guests have priority at the Rockwall, Zipline and Flowrider (except during peak hours from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm). You will find a visible sign where it says that guests with the color of your SeaPass card (plump) have priority at the check-in booth to sign the waivers. You will then get a wristband for the Flowrider and priority at the Rock Wall and Zipline to be able to bypass the line after 2-3 guests. Once onboard, I will print out the opening hours of these areas for the entire cruise. No prior reservations are required; unless any of you are interested in Ice Skating, I will only need to know 24 hours in advance in order to secure your spaces.

Playmakers was included in the UDP when I cruised on NAV in August. No bueno.

Bayonne has a dreadful Suites area. They really need to step it up

How did I miss the fact that you guys are in the RLS ?? VERY nice. This is the first blog that I have read from the RLS. So glad you’re enjoying it. I have never had Sunil as a Genie but delighted to hear that he is so responsive. Did Sunil walk you in to Hooked ? I think, perhaps, with so many high level C&A on your cruise, it might be helpful to have him meet you at the restaurant so that you aren’t disappointed again. GOOD for you that you contacted him right away. Trust me, when the restaurant knows you are SC, it makes a difference in how you are treated. Glad to see that he took care of it right away. PS...we loved Hooked.
