  1. Well ... they did change the date ?
  2. The email I received was specific to the cruise planner items, and was in addition to the global cancellation email and the FCC notification. It itemized each purchase as well as the exact amounts and where they were going. e.g. OBC, Visa, etc.
  3. An indication that they may be catching up on things: I received my cruise planner cancellation email for 3/15 Oasis overnight.
  4. 3/15 Oasis, 2nd half of an abbreviated B2B 3/15 Oasis, 2nd half of an abbreviated B2B
  5. We received our email on Friday, 4/10. No refunds as yet for taxes and fees.
  6. San Pellegrino sparkling the water glasses The bread from Giovanni's with the olive oil, balsamic and fresh grated parmesan while we wait for our cocktails ... garden Martinis from 150 CP Starting with Giovanni's meat plank and the mussels ... and sure another martini is an excellent idea! A surf and turf for dinner, Coastal Kithen Filet and 150 Lobster Thermidor ... with Chops asparagus and playmakers steak fries on the side accompanied by a robust red. Fried cheesecake with Coastal kitchen port wine sorbet on the side and the 150 CP artisan cheese plate for dessert with a double espresso and a sambuca with 3 coffee beans.
  7. I agree, I would board a cruise ship today, but I have a concern that legend will supersede fact when regulations are issued.?
  8. @RBRSKI I received our FCC on Friday. (4/10) No refund for cruise planner or taxes, etc yet. Assuming that is upcoming.
  9. These restrictions appear to be the same as were posted around March 12
  10. Sadly, I believe an additional delay is possible also. My concern is that it could be based more on perception than reality. The media seems to be determined to make the cruise industry a scapegoat in all of this. Perhaps it is an easy target, and will upset an acceptable subset of society from their perspective. I would expect that if 85% of the population cruised regularly, the media would find a different target.
  11. Thank you. I was thinking that I was imagining some of the previous 'cruise to nowhere' offerings, or at the very least, time had gotten away from me. So, no waivers, just not a lot of enforcement until someone pushed it and ruined it for everyone. ??
  12. I agree completely. It makes me recall a very recent flight in which I witnessed an individual attempting to appear over prepared for the current situation heading the to the airplane bathroom... equipped with a mask, rubber gloves and .... bare feet. ????
  13. Floating Petri Dish sound like the perfect name for a new Quarantini. Time to start working on the recipe! ????
  14. 150CP uses Monin Lemongrass Syrup. It is available on Amazon (Prime Eligible) for 13.95 USD for a Litre. I have seen it elsewhere for less, but involves shipping. The Gray Goose is readily available and they used generic sweet and sour mix. The fresh basil was more of a challenge under current conditions!
  15. That may have been what I was remembering ... the 80s ... has it really been that long!?! ?
  16. +1 on this. I know there are mixed reviews out there, but 150CP is an excellent dining experience ... in fact, when we returned from our last cruise we ordered some of the exact brand of lemongrass syrup to make those martinis at home! ??
  17. I recognize that the PVSA has been in effect for a long time, but I recall seeing "Cruise to Nowhere" options in Cruise Catalogs in the past. I wonder if there was a time in the past 20 years or so that there was a waiver available?
  18. True, but 3 months sounds worse in a headline ... they always seem to feel the need for maximum sensationalism and go the extra mile (which sounds so much farther than 5280 feet!) ????
  19. The original correspondence from RCL (for those who received it ... I still have not), as well as the online policy statements, indicated that the first round of Royal cancellations would receive refunds and the email credit information by 4/13. They still have a few days ....?
  20. Based on what I read, 100 days from today is worst case if no other action is taken. The order could be lifted in other specified ways.
  21. I wonder what their criteria are. I (finally) achieved status, but so far I have only two choices: 1. Get Nothing 2. Like it ???????
  22. I had this exact situation with my 3/15 Oasis sailing. I learned that Royal will apply the OBC from the cancelled sailing to a new sailing. If you contact rewards (888-305-4626) with the cancelled reservation number and the new reservation number they will make the transfer. Additionally, they told me that this applies to any NextCruise OBC from the cancelled cruise also.
