  1. I previously posted our scenario on this forum and wanted to share that we finally received all refunds for taxes, fees, gratuities and cruise planner purchases. There IS hope!! It just took way too long! ? Cruise planned on March 14th on Symphony. Cruise cancelled By RCCL on March 13th as part of voluntary suspension. Received 125% FCC email on 4/6/20. Called and emailed several times about cash refund for remaining items. Cruise planner cancellation email received on 4/14/20. Refund received TODAY 5/7/20 - 17 business days after receiving the cruise planner cancellation and 39 business days after our cruise was cancelled. The biggest insight I have on timing and advice is to make sure you’ve received a cruise planner cancellation email (if you prepurchased anything). That means the process has started. No email goes out if you are only waiting for taxes, fees, gratuities. And, there really is no rhyme or reason on when they are processing because our traveling companions had very similar refund coming to them and received it within 2 weeks of the cancelled cruise.

  3. Hi Matt. Did you post anything? I can’t find it. Thanks!
  4. Were you booked on Symphony by any chance? It is disheartening to see people are getting their refunds and mine wasn’t even processed as cancelled until April 14th and told refunds would happen in 30-45 business days after processing. Wondering why people booked in April are getting refunds and if cruises planned just right after cancellations occurred are seeing delays.
  5. For those of you who are waiting on your refunds, apparently the 30 business day timing doesn’t start until after they have manually cancelled your cruise and prepurchased items and if you had cruise planner purchases you should receive an email and that is the date they are basing it on. For us, our cruise was cancelled as part of the first wave on March 13th. Cruise was from March 14-21. Although we quickly received our FCC, we didn’t receive a cruise planner cancellation email until April 14th and I’m being told the estimate is 30-45 business days after April 14th. I’m not sure if we were lost or an anomaly but if you haven’t received a cruise planner cancellation email they haven’t even started the refund process So with this timing, we won’t receive our refunds for our March 14th cruise until early/Mid June.
  6. My March 14th cruise as cancelled the day before we were to sail. I have received my 125% FCC but have yet to receive any refund for port fees, taxes, gratuities or cruise planner purchases. I only received my cruise planner confirmation on April 14th but still have not received the actual refund. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to timing at this point - I'm just hoping for a credit within 30 business days of April 14th at this point. Unfortunately, RCL has been non responsive to email communications. ? I'm not a diamond cruiser but just made platinum so we definitely are loyal to RCL but the lack of communication has been very disappointing.
  7. My family were booked to cruise on Symphony on March 14, 2020 but cruise was cancelled and we received an email offering a 125% Future Cruise Credit that also stated that taxes, fees, gratuities and any cruise planner purchases would be automatically refunded to the original form of payment. I have called several times asking for the timing of the refund and no one can give me a straight answer - last representative said 30 days from when the cruise was cancelled. I have also sent messages on the RCCL website and have not received any response or any confirmation that I even sent a message. I have already received my FCC certificate. Is anyone else in this same situation and have you received your refund? I'd like to actually book another cruise for later this summer (hopefully) but don't want to do that without receiving my refund for my fees and precruise purchases.
