Be that as it may, spiking case numbers in any age group indicates that spread is occuring.  Fatal or not will take much longer to determine.  Hopefully it remains to be non-fatal spread.
The reporting of deaths is impacting the way data is shaped.  It many cases they aren't tallied on weekends which skews Monday numbers higher week after week.  Being that its Wednesday as I write this the Tuesday numbers haven't posted yet but the Sunday no reporting effect can be seen week after week followed by the weekly Monday spikes.  All those troughs are Sundays, the following spikes are Mondays.

All we can really glean from this data is that it's too early to declare anything.  We can't declare the numbers are falling, we can't declare they are raising either.  In two or three weeks time we'll know better what the impact of events that took place a month or more earlier were.
If we've reached the point where our at risk have already died off the numbers will display that in the long run.   Then we can more fully reopen and infected individuals just have to deal with a nasty virus with flu like impacts times ten, but non-fatal.  Then cruising can commence, once the numbers show that our most weak or at risk are already gone.  This is basically what our approach has become.  Right or wrong will be for the history books to decide.
What's not clear is where can we cruise when we reach the point that cruising resumes?  If nations in the Caribbean haven't seen their at risk already die off then maybe they won't want ships full of spreaders coming to their country.  It might be less fatal for us at that point, but fatal spread for them.
No one can predict where we'll be in October based on our current methodology.  We'll know in December how we looked in October.

Even though Florida is spiking, it’s the 20-30 age group seeing the most cases. ICU Hospitalizations in my area (Jacksonville) are at a whooping 14. Roughly 35% of cases are asymptomatic. Big spikes in agricultural areas.

The media wants you to believe the narrative that we are all hooked up to ventilators and dying in Florida. That is simply not the case. You have to dig into the numbers to see what’s going on. Our deaths continue to decline.

Well, Florida will be paying the piper soon enough. That uptick is troubling but what's even worse is the economic impact to businesses, families and the cruising industry as the ports of Florida won't open up if those numbers don't start going down.

If Florida would have followed New York's example, they would not be in the predicament they are in now. New York was the highest and now is the lowest state in numbers as WE New Yorker's listened and were directed by a great Governor who got us through the rough time. The Governor in New York wants the ports open again but that is not his call.

I dont recall the particulars, it may have involved the IRS or may have been somewhat clandestine. I was pondering that same question, time for some research....

I'm surprised a NY state employee can appear at a residence in another state and demand to enter the premises for an inspection.  How do they have authority to do so?
On the other hand, this seems like a pretty good gig for a NY state employee.

Europe is actually quite a developed continent, in fact the ships that took your ancestors to the USA were built here ?

There is no government agency greeting domestic flights.  You'll walk off the plane and do what you've always been able to do.  Hail a cab, jump in an Uber, get on a bus, go on a train, etc.

Seriously??? All this is the cause of the Coronavirus. There is no retaliation. This is about surviving, helping those who need help, protecting our kids and loved ones AND getting back to cruising!!

Just another event in the ongoing cold war between NY and Florida. People have been fleeing NY in droves to escape oppressive taxes. Many go to Florida yet maintain property in NY for the summer months. Seems like retaliation  to me.

I actually like the relaxing cruise days so I would love an itinerary that is half and half. I feel like 8 days is a sweet spot: if we could do 3 long port days, like 8am to 10pm or something, then 4 cruising days, I would be in heaven.
Also I should clarify when I said going to the UK is different. I meant the UK would have direct flights back to the US. In EU I might have to fly to other EU country first, then to UK,  then get home. That is a lot of money and time.

Must admit there are a few eu countries i wouldn't like to be stuck in but there are some it would be great ?
What could be better than sitting outside a small cafe in Paris overlooking the seine wasting the day away?
Or A Cafe at the piazza del duomo in Milan people watching or sitting on the banks of lake como with a bottle of wine?
As for countries with huts, they only have huts because they dont have good enough roads for the trailers like other countries... ?

Yeah Florida’s was a joke. They had state troopers on I95 stopping cars from out of state and telling them they had to self quarantine. No follow up, never enforced. Waste of resources.

In a joint telecast, the Governor's from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have announced that there is a 14-day MANDATORY Quarantine for anyone flying in from States with high Coronavirus case rates, which include but not limited to Florida, Texas, California, Arizona. No end date was proposed nor stated.
So, in sum, if you have a cruise out of AND/OR travel to/from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, re-think it.

    1. I have never posted a political view on this forum,  @Matt has a rule about that and I believe it should be followed.
    2. My comment wasn't politically motivated, it was a commentary on the influences of flawed bureaucracy that keeps us from cruising. A system that is an equal opportunity offender, it effects all sides.

No question in my mind he never saw it, but it's his office and it carries his name.  It does reflect on him.
I appreciate in the era of the current government it may seem acceptable to lie and make stuff up out of thin air but I had higher expectations for Royal Caribbean.

Anyone who lives/works in a city. Anyone who has family/friends who work in healthcare or is in law enforcement.  I happen to know a bunch of people personally who got it. Everyone around me knows people who got it/died from it. All through April and May there were stories of people losing family members from it...but I acknowledge it's different than someone who doesn't live close to a city.

I would like to believe one will be made available sooner than Q1 2021. At the same time I cant help but think:
    1. It will never be released before the first Tuesday in November
    2. Effectiveness will be secondary to profitability
