I could not agree more, DH wanted to book a "last minute" cruise but that would have robbed me of 2 months of obsessive planning/thinking/changing mind/etc that is the best part of having a cruise booked IMO. Imagining the let down when it's all over ? I already let him know I'll be at the NextCruise desk by day 2! These message boards are the best way to enjoy that anticipation for me!

The couple of Cruise Compasses I've checked out (on Navigator oTS) had them listed at 8 AM in the library except for embark and debarking days (it's a short cruise).

aw man if towel animal threads don't get you excited for your cruise I don't know what else would! These made me grin from ear to ear.

I have also made a purchase from Amazon within the last 24 hours for things I "needed" after reading message boards! Probably both unnecessary but I ordered a hanging toiletry bag and packing cubes (no way are those a necessity but I had to!).

I don't think I introduced myself. Rebecca. My husband and I are taking our first RC Cruise September 13th, 2019 on NoTS for a quick weekender. We live in Florida so I'm scouring these threads to see how I can work cruising into our regular Vacation or Quick Getaway schedules. This is my first message board experience so I've lurked for a week or two in hopes of identifying any message board faux paux I can avoid while still trying to get all the answers I need. You've all been a fantastic source of really great info! I'm convinced I can make cruising a regular things for us ? I appreciate the time you all take answering newbies questions.

Again thrilled to see someone else asking a question I have, and will piggy back. I found and downloaded Periscope, found (the awesome) Matt to follow and I think 1 or 2 more informative folks (I found twangster and love2cruise, I think, as I saw their names frequently and were easy to search). How would I find other "scopers" relating to RC to follow there? Do I just search "cruise" to find folks that post live? I want to follow you frequenters that are here on these boards as RC is my new hyper focus interest. My plan is to book my next cruise while on board Navigator in September and am trying to gain knowledge to make an informed decision by then. These boards have been a gold mine of info and I really appreciate all your input in all the threads!

@AshleyDillo 43 days away, September 13th and yes our muster is listed. I cancelled my Royal Up offer as I am very happy with the room they've assigned but probably should have checked first if they may change it or not. Can't for the life of me find my luggage tags on either the desktop site on computer nor on the app. I can view my SS Pass but no luggage tags yet.

Can I ask a question here, I booked GTY Balcony and just today got the room assigned on my Set Sail pass, will that room stick or might it change again before sailing?

Prompted me to reach out and get a quote for my next cruise, I'm not a shopper so that's where I landed because of the quick response ?

Navigator September 13th, in 44 days! Preparing/researching for this has provided me with so much excitement and joy! I can only imagine the blues when it's over but it's not dampening my spirit ? I think a good solution is to try to always have one booked; I would be happy if cruising is our forever yearly vacation plan. Wondering (sorry if this isn't the right place) the routes people take to book future cruises? It seems like I may get more benefits (OBC, less deposits) by using a TA (I have reached out to the website's sponsor a few minutes ago) and wondered if there is a method that anyone else uses, or if it's strictly on personal preference for booking?

SAME! So glad I found this site and that others are as preoccupied with their future sail dates as I am ? I am considering changing my mindset from "BUY/BOOK <upgrade room/extra excursion/over the top decorations/etc>, you only live once" to "hmmm if I scale back the unnecessary costs on this cruise I can justify booking another while on board" That may be the way I go!
