All of you complaining about this situation need to review your travel insurance policies to check your options for trip interruption.  You did get travel insurance when you booked a Caribbean cruise during hurricane season with flights involved, right???  Of course you did.  You sound like responsible, intelligent folks.

It's a no-win situation for RC. 
You're right and by waiting RC, is trying to salvage cruises but at the risk of your own travel plans. But remember, if they cancel and storm ends up going elsewhere, then people will be upset their vacations are cancelled. Heck, there are people that would be upset cruise is cancelled even if the storm track takes it right in the middle of the cruise path!
If they go ahead with sailing, people will be upset because they think RC should have cancelled.
It's a no-win situation for RC. 
I certainly feel for you and your situation and I dont think anyone blames you for being frustrated.

One rental car tip: prices change a lot and I'd re-price it all the way up to, and including, the day you need it.  It's crazy how much prices drop on car rentals in those last few days.

Whoa. She needs a new travel agent. My guess is they charged her a fee to book it as well ?  (My travel agent emailed me and told me to log on and get the $18/day price when it was available! - I had already gotten it, but dang -she's my girl 4 life now!)

It is very rare for Royal to get involved in the relationship with the client and the agent.  Royal will contact the agent to let them know that the client wants to transfer it back to them, but I have been involved in situations where the other agency would not transfer it back to the client or another agency without charging a cancellation fee.
Its really important to interview the agent or agency about fees, cancellations and level of services you expect BEFORE you book.  

I would probably laugh and wish you luck for the rest of the night and then keep eating my food. I learned on my very first cruise in 2007 by the waiters who kept encouraging us to order more that this is acceptable. You do you.

Sigh. Not to be disrespectful to your opinion but this hard to read and my eyes just rolled to the back of my head. Everyone should wear a swimsuit in the pool, if they so choose...whatever they may weigh. I say this as someone who refuses to wear a bathing suit because I think I look awful. Honestly, I love seeing confidence in anyone, no matter their weight. My issues are mine alone and I would never impose them on anyone else. We should all be comfortable in our skin and not make people feel bad for how they look.

Nope. First and foremost, the cruise lines must provide a passenger manifest to the Federal government to vet the list a couple days before the cruise.
But the reality is ships sail full quite regularly, and last minute deals really aren't a thing anymore.
If you want to truly great deals, your best bet is to book very early on (12, 18, 24 months in advance) to lock in the lowest prices.

So it says *price reflected includes the discount* -and the "discount" is off the onboard price (what you would pay if you waited to purchase it on board) - so they are showing you the price you will actually pay for each package (i.e. it's not pay $65 for the first, $32.50 for the 2nd, it's pay $48.75 for each package) . It's not further discounted off the price your seeing (and it does very clearly state "price reflected includes the discount"). Additionally, you will have to pay the 18% gratuity at the time of purchase, which can make it look like your discount went away. 

I’m still leaning towards the idea that he was holding her up so she could see out and she just wiggled loose and fell.  The whole “I didn’t know it was an open window” just isn’t believable.   It’s just a terrible, horrible, sickening accident. They happen every day.  But there is no way that this is the fault of the cruise line.  I hope they fight it.

I've always assumed that people aren't stealing them, so much as they are defacing them (i.e. taking it and throwing away or putting it on a door down the hall).
Well, perhaps there are folks who recognize the sheer inherit value of a RCBlog magnet and then want it for themselves.

Live vicariously through all the live blogs. They bring back good memories of your own past cruises even if it's not for the same ship. They also give you ideas for your own planning.
