  1. You can go online or as I did to IKEA and purchased a triple USB power outlet with high output to charge our phones, cameras, tablets, power bank, etc. We bring two of them and have not had any worries. Easy enough to charge overnight and place back in the drawers during the day. Just made sure I brought enough USB to device cords. ?
  2. On some ships the additional HDMI ports are available but the remote does not have an option to switch input ports. My son has a universal remote (Walmart special) he brings that allows him to switch the inputs so he can play his video games as the TV's are standard name brand HDTV's.
  3. Not knowing about the Cruise Planner and WAY over packing.
  4. If you have 5 separate offers (We receive them all the time) then you can book 5 cruises as long as you pay the taxes and other fees. I have not seen any restrictions on how many you can book. And yes, there may be offers to royalup on these offers. We received that option on our cruise coming up in a week and a half and placed a bid. Have not heard back and do not expect to but we did receive the offer.
  5. We've put them in our checked airline luggage for both East and West coast trips and have not had a problem. They are not listed in the "prohibited" list by TSA.
  6. Remember, if you are using these on the wall they only hold 1/3 of the advertised holding power so for these 22 lb magnets they will typically hold only 7 pounds. Also if the wall is slick like some of the cabin walls are they will slide easily if they are fairly weak. The 40 lb magnets work well and we use them to hold our jackets, hats, etc all the time.
  7. We do this all the time. Put it in airplane mode and snap away!
  8. On the Liberty you cannot book the shows, not one of the Mega ships. You will love the ship and be sure to explore everything on board. Falmouth is not a bad port but I would not wander out on your own. We have a cruise coming up in October stopping there and we booked the Blue Water Beach Escape which we have done before. It is close to the port (10 minutes) and offers the big B3 combination that the wife likes (Beach, Booze and Buffet) and is not costly. At the port you can find all the shops for local artisans as well as the normal established what I call big box jewelers and stores. Congrats on the anniversary!
  9. I've seen it happen before several times. No surprise.
  10. We purchased individual photos of the grand kids at dinner and on formal night (oops sorry Wear Your Best Night ?) for the parents when we took the wee ones on their first cruise (age 5 right of passage). Other than that we use the cell phone for photos as the quality of their photos is remarkable now and it is stored on the device without upload. The one photo package we did purchase early on is still sitting on the thumb drive. Spent way too much.
  11. Congrats on the first time cruise. We are going before Christmas and after New Year to avoid the crowds and high pricing ?. On our early cruises we booked all of what you are looking at on board and when we got off the cost was almost the cost of the cruise. Now we pick and choose and book early to get the lower cost. Anyway you go, nothing is bad when out on the seas.?
  12. Our kids and grand kids guaranteed inside cabin was assigned at the 29 day mark for our upcoming October cruise. We had a guaranteed balcony for the wife and I in December and it was assigned last week. No set date on the assignments, probably assigned based on the amount of bookings for each particular cruise.
  13. Have had that happen where we lost OBC ($100) for a less expensive rate. In our case the rate reduction more than covered the OBC loss but it would have been nice to have gotten both.?
  14. My sailing on 10/13 just sent a flyer with the Deluxe Beverage Package @ $45. Guess folks were not biting at the $52 "reduced rate" listed earlier.
  15. If the casino set up the "fun bus" with Royal then the ship will wait if there are delays. If it is an independent bus trip you should still be ok arriving from Houston Hobby at the pier at 1:30pm. The travel agent should make sure that everyone gets things moving along. The only issue would be the weather but next weekend looks good. Have fun, we are on Liberty in four weeks with kids and grand kids.
  16. Agree, Yeti bottle for the wife's mimosa's (holds 5) and a spill proof insulated cup for my coffee and ice tea.
  17. We throw in a USB power bank to use on-shore to recharge my underwater camera and cell phones (used for above water camera). Have several giveaways that I have picked up at seminars and meetings but the kids gave me a nice big one for Christmas that takes care of all of the above with plenty of power to spare for even tablets. https://www.amazon.com/Voorpret-Portable-10400mAh-Multi-Angle-External/dp/B0180PWGM6/ref=sr_1_10?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp7b0yMXL5AIVFs53Ch3RxQp5EAAYASAAEgLt-_D_BwE&hvadid=287902800421&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9026803&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14660941989147076733&hvtargid=aud-649564993678%3Akwd-324003007634&hydadcr=25254_9899863&keywords=10400mah+power+bank&qid=1568300223&s=wireless&sr=1-10
  18. You can find it in the Cruise Planner under Spa & Fitness/Fitness Program as a pre-purchased item.
  19. The Western Caribbean. It is one of the things we look for in the morning while eating at Windjammers. It is hit or miss but see them on most trips.
  20. MEI was able to transfer our cruise to them even though it was already paid in full. Think it depends on who they talk to at RCCL. Our agent kept after it and finally got it moved and we have used her ever since. Get some extra perks and they keep watch on the fare drops. Saved $600 on upcoming cruise in October with the kids and grand-kids after we had booked in January under her watchful eyes.
  21. My grand kids (11, 10, 9 &7) all have loved the RCCL kids club and did not like the Disney (too much computer and not enough interaction by the staff). They were unsure going in but by the first evening wanted to go back all the time. The staff is great and we visited with them to make sure of their capabilities and training. We have an upcoming cruise in October with 2 of the G'kids and they are already looking forward to going and making new friends. Definitely go early and sign them up to avoid the crowds. Gives you a chance to look the place over and become familiar with the layout. Wish RCCL had the pager system as Princess but we have never had an issue.
  22. I depart on Liberty on 10/13 and have sailed on her 5 other times. There is no upload on photos and they will take it when you check-in at the terminal. There are no waivers to pre-sign online as mentioned above and you will have to do that once you board. Was able to sign waivers on other cruise lines that left out of the Port of Houston several years ago but that is now gone and Galveston is the only port remaining. Arrive early and you can explore the ship and sign all the waivers then (we have our kids and grandkids and we take care if it before the crowd generally arrives).
  23. The wife is a Prime member (I'm lucky to spend $20 per cruise in the casino) and we receive offers year 'round for free cruises (upcoming cruises in Oct, Dec and Jan). Although she is quite good, the reality is the amount she spends is paramount to what the cruise would have cost if we paid for it outright. I don't deny her the pleasure of the casino and the new cruises and do look forward to the offers when they come in the mail. Even get multiple offers with comps that our TA takes care of getting for us.
  24. Have a GTY cabin for our kids and Grandkids on our Oct Liberty cruise and have not received their assignment and also received a Royal Up offer which we filled in for them. Figure it will be about 3 weeks before we go before we know what room they get. Our TA said our sailing date was pretty open on cabins at this time so hoping they can move up.
