  1. I think Royal (and all other lines) are being as transparent as they need to be. Any consumer, that does not know the realities of the market, and books, is responsible for their own decision. The "sally" dates for the FCCs gets extended periodically as the stoppage drags on.
  2. Then just cancel now and get your money back, if you are so sure there is no chance of going. Take your NRD as FCC and move on.
  3. If history holds true to form, June cancellations should be announced next week.
  4. Thanks for the link, it is fascinating. So out of 410 state levied lawsuits dating back to the beginning of the Obama administration, 45 were successful on their merits. Of these 45; 2 were against HHS.
  5. This is not a “small business” type of operation.
  6. Can someone point me to a list of successful cases of state government suing federal government? Being from TX, we are no stranger to suing the feds, but I can’t recall many successes.
  7. I agree, this is huge. 5 drinks for me, and 5 drinks on the wife’s card (who rarely drinks) I am set.
  8. But as long as their is no forthcoming guidance or framework from the CDC, then the CSO IS a de facto No Sail Order
  9. The CDC was never going to lift the order regardless of the decision to embark ships from outside US waters.
  10. Thanks so much for the clarification and the fine points of cruise with confidence versus global suspension. So I guess my real question is if a cruise is canceled due to the pandemic then I assume your non-refundable deposit is 100% refundable?
  11. My mind is getting less and less reliable. Am I correct in thinking that under CWC, if Royal cancels your cruise, and you have a non refundable deposit, you are entitled to a refund of the entire deposit?
  12. Of course! As is said, any company will do what’s best for their shareholders. UK offered, RCG accepted. They would be idiots not too. I stand by my statement, they never asked for, not expected USA federal stimulus. A large portion of the Fortune 500 pay zero or near zero federal income tax.
  13. Come on! Any business with a responsibility to shareholders takes every tax advantage available to them. The cruise lines never asked for federal bailout money, because they didn’t need to. Their business model has given them the opportunity to increase their liquidity and weather the storm.
  14. You have a few more weeks to wait.
  15. Fine! More staterooms for the rest of us.
  16. Accidentally or prematurely? Does anyone have any confidence that June won’t be cancelled in the next 2 weeks?
  17. seems to be a realistic assumption
  18. The FAQ document only mentions "7 day roundtrip" in the verbage. So i guess every Saturday, makes the figuring easier. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Deployment/2021_2022/AD_FAQs.pdf
  19. Thats crazy, all of our vaccines have been through either Dallas county or Collin county mega sites, insurance was never an issue. I would assume a state or county entity could just blanket bill the federal government for reimbursement, whereas a retailer would be better off going the more traditional route.
  20. We have had over a dozen family members vaccinated, no one ever asked for an insurance card.
  21. Regarding your CDC quote, perhaps you should read the updated guidance for vaccinated individuals which clearly states masks and social distancing are not necessary amongst vaccinated individuals. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html
  22. Well first Italy is not a 100% vaccinated zone. My comments were a reply to the Crystal Cruises out of Nassau this summer, and ONLY pertained to the Crystal Cruises out of Nassau this summer. Crystal Cruise line stated this ship would be 100% vaccinated. It can at times be difficult to follow the threads when they bounce around, I should have been more directed in my initial response.
