We're headed back to Maya Chan next week! I could not care less about the seaweed. We had an amazing time last visit with the pool, cabanas, bar, and massages. We're arriving in port at 7 AM and departing at 3 PM. We'll make the most of the early day. I'll report back afterwards.

    From Dec 16, 2022.
However for a March 9 cruise I'm willing to bet you will see the majority if not all of these new perks on your cruise.
I'm thinking some ships may start doing this very soon.  The time between now and March 10 is really a window to ensure all ships are aware of, and fully implementing the new program benefits by March 10.  That's the deadline for ships to get with the program, but I suspect some will start earlier than March 10 and some will fully adopt the new perks well before March 10.
It all depends how the LA's are cycling back from vacation and training on the new perks.
If they said "starting tomorrow" some ships wouldn't have time to figure out the new perks and then guests would be upset.  By posting a future date it ensures all crew can iron out the wrinkles and misinterpretations by March 10.

My wife and I will be on the TA cruise to Spain, booked in November, shortly after the price doubled.  We are Diamond members now, finally, and for the 1st time we got the Royal Up program to kick in, went from a Grand Suite to the Star Loft,,,,,can't believe we jumped about 4 room classes.  Still expensive on RoyalUp but it did save in total cost and its going to be a once in a lifetime deal, don't ever see us doing a Star Loft twice in our life.

Keeping video off is always an option: this is how I eat, drink, roll my eyes, and make choking motions at others without getting in trouble. 🤣

In other words... the sample menu shown when booking Giovanni's is not the menu for the sit down venue.  That is the menu that anyone walking up to the wine bar can order on the spot.
The $42 cover charge for Giovanni's is the price for the full menu in the blog post above.  Like all cover charge venues you can order multiple appetizers but only one entree.
You order a meat plank, a gigantic meatball, stromboli, etc plus one entree such as the Lasagna.
It's not unusual to share appetizers so you could order many for your group and everyone can try some of each.  When it comes to the entree everyone typically orders their own.

Our Bonaire snorkeling tour (Royal's) in June was mysteriously cancelled just before the trip, and other similar excursions were fully booked.  So I would schedule snorkeling at two of the islands in case one falls through.

I have the same concern re: a snorkeling excursion in Bonaire.  I’m a strong swimmer so I am going to stick with the one we have booked.  I hope I don’t regret it.  As a general rule, the only really strenuous part of boat snorkeling is getting back on the boat.  It can be easier (ladder in fairly smooth seas) or harder (inadequate ladder and/or rough seas) but that’s usually the only difficult part for me.  I guess we’ll see…

I've been to Maya Chan when the seagrass was knee-deep and we still had a blast. They have a pool now, so that helps greatly. Plus, the staff will go to great lengths to ensure you still have a fun time.

I've read a post where the owners are building barriers on the beach for the sea grass and they will stop dealing with removal while guests are there to help stop the smell from roaming around the beach. I reserved Maya Chan too in August so I am looking out for more information to see if I need to cancel. From what I read many people still enjoyed the food and the relaxed atmosphere even though they did not get in the water.
