There is one problem people are forgetting.. Since you booked rooms for 2 there is no guarantee that your rooms have a pull out couch. So you son might be stuck with your brother because there is no other bed for him..

For my June sailing, I booked it at $57 USD.  For my November sailing, I booked at $52USD.  It is hard to keep an eye on prices after booking because they disappear from the excursion list.

Looking at the deck plans it doesn't appear that these are connecting (indicated by the up/down arrow)

Half day passes are not offered anymore.
My advice is book the water park at the price now.  You can always cancel and rebook with no penalty if the price drops. By booking now, you lock in the price and guard against a price increase.

In another post someone said the half-day passes aren't being sold anymore.  For my September cruise, the price quoted is $58 for full-day pass, and supposedly that is 15% off.  A few days ago there was a sale and it might have been 20 or 25% off.

For my January 2020 cruise the thrill park is $47 as an idea of the prices.

I think (but don't quote me) that we don't necessarily get offered the same sales in the UK.
I had a look a week ago for prices for my Christmas sailing on Allure and waterpark day passes were £49.37pp

If you are on the several ships that require reservations, there is also a line of people who wait for cancellations.  About 10 minutes before show time, the unused seats are released.  It's usually best to have reservations on the more popular shows, but even then you may want to arrive 30 minutes early to get a desired seat.  There are typically a couple of extra shows at the end of the cruise that don't require reservations, such as a short ice show, aqua show, or comedy show.  Most ships actually have nightly shows - late dinner seating goes early and early dinner seating goes late, but it is essentially first-come, first-served, no reservations.
