I preface by saying I've never used Chase travel - however that choice came from the myriad of reviews on reddit and other forums regarding the lack of service, clarity of booking rules and limitations, and assistance when something goes wrong. If everything works out its fine, but if things start to go wrong or cascade the general consensus is you're on your own and have to fight tooth and nail for any reimbursement. That change from 3 points to 1 in general travel really kills this card, along with the increase of near 50% on the annual fee. A handful of perks don't even hit until you've spent 75k and it appears the status matching ends in 2027 and is not a lifetime (of the card) perk. Shame really.

Is this in Firefox? There appears to be a bad overlay. You might try in another browser, I had success in Chrome and Opera. Definitely a Royal IT issue its not you. Depending how savvy you are you can block that page element, it's a background div.

Because it's a dynamic situation that seems to change almost daily. Royal is making strides so you can book with the UDP prior to boarding day but it doesn't always work as intended. Don't get upset with someone replying to you with information that for years has been true. I booked a UDP for Utopia and I can't pre-book the way you seem to be able to. According to all published documentation it looks like brunch should be included without an upcharge.

I had the same issues earlier this week. The site was asking for expiration in MM/YYYY format but the bank was declining. The format needed to be entered as MM/YY instead. Hope that helps!

Got issued a new credit card number so needed to update that when making new cruise planner purchases today. On the checkout screen they have added a new (or at least new to me) payment window to add a new card. The text in the box shows to add the card expiration date as MM/YYYY ie 12/2025 This continued to cause my orders to decline with the bank with an "Incorrect expiration date" I had to go into payment methods and ignore the flavor text and enter the expiration as 4 digits, ie 12/25 which was accepted and then my payment went through. Hope that helps someone else! I was getting mad.

There are a number of alaska cruises that begin from Vancouver BC.

Ours did on both accounts. We ended up using our boarding passes in our phones at the airport rather than deal with the paper.

My family and I stayed at the Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown (201 5th Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109). It was clean, spacious, had a free hot breakfast and didn't break the bank. We got an additional small discount from being AAA members too. It's across the street from the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens, and the Museum of Pop Culture which were fun to see the day before embarkation. Walked to dinner at a fabulous Italian restaurant La Vita E Bella (2411 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98121) and it was a 14 minute lyft to the port. Whatever you do have a great trip.

3 days ago my email address and cruise planner access was removed from their system. I had logged in to check the cruise planner early in the morning and was able. Later that same afternoon a companion wanted to get a massage booked (and me pay for it with stored card) and when I went to log in it said my email was not found. Things happen, I waited 24 hours. Same thing on the website and app. Companion could log in under their account and the cruise and previous purchases still showed. When I called Royal I was on the phone for an hour and had to argue if I ever had an account in the first place despite having made a drink package purchase while logged in 5 days ago. Account had originally been created back in 2018. Ultimately they said just sign up again which I did. Everything was there minus saved payment and preferences. Still makes me very uneasy for things like this to happen. I hope I'm a one off case for this IT behavior but it doesn't instill confidence. I do have a wonderful TA and she was also baffled.

Echoing others. I booked in May and same room now is over 7k higher and keeps going up. Any deals will be far in the future. Best bet is if you want to go to book now, and re-price later if it does come down. But assume it won't.

Ah I do recall seeing something about how the Quantum ships don't quite fit in Vancouver, I'm sure you're right. Still interested to see if they keep boarding time as 'normal'. Thanks again.

Hello all! Looking over Alaska 2024 itineraries there is a sailing for Quantum of the Seas leaving Monday April 29th from Vancouver, however it says departing Vancouver at 3:30AM April 30th (Tuesday). I've never seen this before, does anyone have experience with this type of 'late' departure? Specifically boarding for previous cruises usually begins between 10-11AM and the ship embarks around 4PM. With this type of offset will boarding begin later and 'last call' as it were to board be pushed into the evening? Do you think we just sit at the dock until departure time? Not that there isn't plenty to do on board... Just curious! Thanks in advance for any insight.

I canceled a shore excursion on October 29th and was refunded yesterday, so approx. 10 business days, though I'm sure it can vary.

It's over a year away. Sorry your original trip plans got chartered hopefully you can find a good replacement. A new one! A better one!

I did the escape room on Oasis and booked it through the cruise planner under onboard activities. I think it only became available approximately 90 days before sail date.

Sail date is 8/7/21 - 8/15/21 on Anthem for 8 nights leaving out of Southampton. I did a mock booking for 4 and didn't see the same using both the uk and us sites. It did show that price for 2 for a junior suite. I'm still sorry that happened you might have some luck sending the screenshot to them either via email or on social media. I hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction.

Allure sailing for Nov 29th has price drops on the beverage packages today. $65 to $57 for DDP, Refreshment went from $28 to $22. Looks like some price drops on other items as well, some shore excursions and massages. CocoCay Cabanas went down a couple hundred looks like as well. Getting that pandemic discount.

1702 and 1756 have noticeably smaller balconies than the rest, but otherwise the differences are minimal.

There's no guarantee that pricing will change at any given time. The best advice is to book whatever package, excursions, or items you are wanting at a price that you're willing to pay for them. There is always the chance it will come down, but it can also go up. In the case of it going down you are able to cancel your order/reservation and re-book at the lower price without penalty. In the case of it going up just be glad you booked it when it was lower. Best of luck!

@Corky441 as promised we did do the ATV excursion through Carabali. There was another for Camp Rico as well but I cannot speak to that. As for the machines used they were in rough shape. In fact mine would not go into 4x4 and I got stuck in the mud on one of the trails which was actually the most fun part. If you're the type who wants new, pristine, carefully maintained equipment this would not be a tour for you. The stops were beautiful and we took a dip in a very lovely, clear river. Painted ourselves with rocks and minerals, and then got shots at the bar after. There is a shuttle/bus that takes you from the port to the venue and its about a 30-40 minute ride. The bus had AC and was comfortable also taking us back to port after the excursion. He makes two stops on the way back one near a shopping area close to port and one back to port directly. It was a blast but don't go expecting nothing to go wrong. As I said I did get stuck for a bit until I was pushed out, and another ATV decided it didn't want to go into gear after a stop. Quick fix but my group is generally mechanically inclined and unphased by the odd breakdown in the jungle. If things like that concern you however I'd choose another excursion. All in all I would do it again without hesitation. It says long pants required but they are more of a suggestion. It does get hot by your legs and you can burn yourself if you're not careful in shorts. They will turn you away if you don't have closed toed shoes and your drivers license. As for the deposit I didn't pay attention. Upon check-in they took my drivers license and a credit card and sent me on my way to pet the cats. Did I mention there were cats? About six of the friendliest little barn cats. I would've paid the money just to pet them all day. On my current credit card statement I have no charges from Carabali so if there was a hold it fell off quickly.
