I should probably stay out of this but I don't think "grammar shaming" somebody who is angry is anything except treating someone the way they said they've been treated already. If a mistake was made (and don't for a minute suggest that sometimes a large corporation and it's employees don't make mistakes--or are rude) why not just say so.
I like reading this blog because it was so nice to see everyone's positive outlook on cruising. All of you love to tout how much money you saved, and the value of the dollar, and saving up your pennies to go on cruises. It's nice to read--so when someone is upset they've lost a deposit I"m pretty sure all of you would be pissed off if you were out $500 in 24hrs for a clerical error on your part. Anger can get the best of us, as clearly at has gotten the best of you at this person with their vitriolic language. Direct them and help, don't criticize them for their opinion....it's always our behavior in bad times that is a great reflection of who we are, and admitting when we are wrong and moving on....

Damn that's unfortunate. I posted on this forum to let all of you know the DBP was $18 (tried to help as many people as possible).

Buy one of these for every trip. Give it to the cabin steward after the trip. WallyWorld for $14.

It's small enough to pack but makes enough noise on high that it helps me sleep, it usually sits on my side of the bed and blows directly on my face. It takes up one small corner in my suite case which is a small trade off for sleeping well.

Just add a fan noise app to your phone and use that at night that way you don't have to pack a fan. Works like a charm
 

I believe that is who did our personalized magnet.  She did a beautiful job.

I think the general rule is never buy coins.
Gather the free coins offered via email and notifications and when you have time play them down using auto spin. 
I use all 3 apps - myVEGAS slots, myVEGAS blackjack and myKONAMI slots. 
As mentioned on another thread, I just cashed 200,000 points for a 10% off certificate for our Alaska cruise which netted $569 in savings. I’ve used it twice in the past for the $100 OBC.
As mentioned, you need to apply discounts/OBC within 14 days of making a reservation so you need to play now for future cruises.
I’m not 100% certain what happens if you re-book to save $$. Since this activity falls under Casino Royale you may lose it on a re-book.
We should start a “sticky” thread for people that play so we can send each other coins ?
 

Best bet is to get something magnetic or buy magnet tape to attach other decorations.  Do NOT use the gel type window stickers, they stain the doors.
One of our members makes custom magnets.  @CruisingKat(Kathy) she can make personalized magnets for each door.  
I posted pictures here once of some of my recent doors, let me see if I can find the thread and I'll tag you.  It was a while ago, so may not be easy to find.  We usually use the custom magnet, then ship themed cut outs and decor from Amazon.

2 weeks ago on Mariner playing the wheel of fortune machine with the gold spin. I hit a gold spin and it landed on 15 x multiplier and then the wheel of fortune hit $250 so it was a $250 x 15. $3,750.00. Fun night in the casino.

I know I won't have a problem booking IFLY or North Star once on board.  I just like the idea of having it all booked and not dealing with it as soon as I board.  It's just the type A planner in me!!   

We're on the same cruise (9/13). Been checking everyday. Seems like its completely random when they put them up for booking if at all. But you can go do it once on board. It'll be the first thing we do once we get onboard if I don't catch it on the cruise planner.

Update:  My custom creation from the Skagway Glass Blowing Experience arrived in the mail today!
And to think... that's my hot air trapped inside the globe.  

My other purchases from their shop arrived yesterday but since many are gifts for family and friends no pics.
I opted for the flat base so I could put it on a table.  As dorky as this sounds, whenever I look at this I'll be brought right back to Skagway and this awesome Alaskan cruise experience on Ovation of the Seas.
