Seasons greetings to all! Only 10 more days for me! A great way to unwind after the holidays

How is this even a thing still? A year and a half ago US was amending laws to get around Canada’s strict vaccination policies so cruises could go to Alaska. But even Canada got rid of the vaccine requirement for entry many months ago but the US still hanging on. A quick google search tells me there are currently 96 countries with no vaccine requirements to enter……can US come in at 97th?!

This is minus 10-15 fahrenheit for the Americans. We are currently in the 5-15f range here in Vancouver. Looking forward to the 'cold' florida temps

Apparently it was announced at some point during the Wonder naming festivities that starting in 2023 the messaging on the app will be free.

That is my wife’s problem with Royals thermal spa as well. It is almost like an afterthought. Unfortunately, this is the reason we are booking less Royal these days as the thermal spa is one of the biggest draws for her to cruising and other lines do it so much better.

I’m not 100% sure but I believe it may actually be cheaper because they are usually running a promotion on the first day. I believe that’s why she waits till getting on board to book. If it’s not cheaper then it would be around the same price. We are Canadian so the cruise planner price is in Canadian (higher price) and when we book on board it is in USD so that may be why it seems cheaper. I’ve never paid that close attention to it.

This is on purpose. The amount of legalese in any policy is designed to confuse you, which may lead you to not file a claim. Or to give the insurance company an out. They will never give you a simple bullet point list of what their coverage is because they are in the business of making money, not helping people and paying out claims.

My wife gets it every cruise. She always buys the full cruise pass after a tour on the first day. It has never sold out and she says it is rarely busy in there despite staffs sales pitch to buy before it sells out.

I stand corrected. Just reopened the app and shows are available to book!

You shouldn't need a second room if your 2 children are that young. You should be able to get a room with a pull out couch and only pay for 1 room

Yes. The policy has gone back to what it was pre-covid. Once final payment is made you can no longer reprice.

Totally agree! I’ve seen several accounts of this story but not one says how he went overboard. That’s an important part of the story as far as I’m concerned as one does not simply fall. regardless, the fact he was located (in the darkness no less) when they had no idea where it happened is nothing short of miraculous

Well I have 6 weeks to go. Maybe something will magically appear. as it is a unique 10 day itinerary for an Oasis class ship it would be a great time to debut a new show

Too bad, I actually enjoyed the original productions more than the broadway shows. Flight and Blue Planet were both amazing. Columbus fantastic as well

Am I mistaken that all Oasis class ships also have an original production show on top of the Broadway show? Or has that not come back post Covid?

Thats unfortunate. The Oasis class all used to have 1 broadway and 1 original production show. I have no interest in seeing Cats again but was hoping for another show. I am looking forward to Auqua80 and Frozen in time

Looking at a couple recent cruise compasses for Oasis I'm not seeing a Royal original production show (i.e. flight, Columbus, Blue planet, etc). Anyone know if there is an original production on Oasis right now?

I saw on Instagram emmacruises posted that they were doing in person muster on the Norwegian Sun. Don't like the direction this seems to be going.

Could not agree with you more. I love the onboard experience from Royal but am no longer loyal. Each cruise line has some things better than other lines and some things worse but I am enjoying different variety.

No change in price for any cruise planner items
