  1. I am back as a "maybe" for the GC. I am waiting for a buddy to get short notice time off approved. This would be his first cruise and I am trying to provide him cost info. Can someone who is booked please check the cruise planner and tell me if there are still pre-cruise discounts being offered on drink packages and internet? I will cross post on the FB thread. Thank you!
  2. Here is link to section Mark mentioned: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass
  3. Many have noticed that Vision is coming to Galveston in Nov and Dec of 2017 for 4 & 5 night cruises. We are on Navigator for a 9 night that starts in Nov and ends in Dec, so it's hard to justify a Vision cruise during that short period. Remember this is a RUMOR thread... I called C&A today and asked if they thought Vision would stay in Galveston into 2018. I was told that it was not possible since it was being removed from the Royal fleet. :o
  4. Yes...book early! Here is some proof on our 3 pending cruises. If we were to book the exact same cabin today the total cost for 2 guests on: Nov 13, 2016 on Liberty would cost an additional $1765. May 13, 2017 on Harmony would cost an additional $2209. Nov 24, 2017 on Navigator would cost an additional $1651.
  5. Is the updated list thread post #585 or somewhere else?
  6. Howdy neighbor. Sorry to hear they are having to cancel. Did they have travel insurance? If so, will that help recover additional lost funds?
  7. Love it! In Oct 2020 we celebrate 20 years and are hoping to do a Mediterranean cruise and land based vacation.
  8. I forgot to respond to this upon our return from Coz. We did go to Nachi as planned and sadly, overall, we were very disappointed. It is a beautiful property and we were greated with a smile and provided with a nice glass of champagne upon arriving. We were quickly taken to loungers that were located on the beach not too far from the new bar. There was an umbrella that was available as well. We were told that our server would be right with us. We waited about ten minutes and finally walked over to the bar and got our own drinks. We relaxed, enjoyed the ocean view and finished our drinks. Still no server. We returned to the bar and asked where our server was. We were once again assured he would be right over. It was at least 30 minutes before the server showed up. No, I am not kidding. When the sever did finally show up he had a terrible attitude and even rolled his eyes when he was asked to repeat something. We did order food and a couple drinks from him but the rest of the time we took our request, and tips, to the bar. At one point during the visit we made our way over to the pool bar. I politely asked the bartender for the wi-fi code and he said he did not have it memorized! He pointed to a piece of paper on the other side of the bar and went back to making drinks without saying another word. I was able to connect to the Wi-Fi but the signal was so weak I was unable to Periscope as I had planned. The food was good, but the continued poor service left a bad taste in my mouth. We are returning to Coz in Nov with a group of 11, but will be going back to Mr. Sanchos.
  9. Congrats on your decision to cruise Royal Caribbean and more importantly...joining the Royal Caribbean Blog family!
  10. Keep us posted. Thoughts and prayers for your family.
  11. Anyone have the menu order for the Roatan/Belize/Cozumel route on Liberty? We don't care for Shiitake and Pomodoro and will be reserving specialty restaurants on the designated nights. Looks like Pomodoro is Saturday night, but Shiitake could fall on Tues or Wed.
  12. Two things from our April Liberty cruise... Price was slightly cheaper online before cruise for one excursion and the other sold out 2 days before we boarded. You have to pay as soon as you book online, but that allows you to spread out the cost of the cruise.
  13. That was the case for us in April (non-voom). Wife would look at stuff on her phone, logout and then I would login using my phone. You create a user name and password that could be used on any device, just not at the same time..
  14. I jumped on it as soon as it became available for our Nov Liberty cruise. I was having RCblog Periscope withdrawals during our April cruise. I GOTSTA have my dose of daily cruise chat. :)
  15. Welcome to the RC Blog! There was no VOOM when we were onboard in April. The Royal site says Tidal Wave will be available in June, but who knows if that is accurate or not.
  16. Update. Our May 6, 2017 on Adventure was changed to May 13, 2017 Harmony. Please add Nov 24, 2017 Navigator.
  17. With our C&A discount we could get a balcony guarantee for $1569 with all taxes and fees included. That's total for two people and comes with an additional $100 obc. No way I can do that since we are getting off Liberty about 2 weeks earlier. Nice find though Jerel!
  18. No on shakes. Yes on getting it w/o alcohol.
  19. Nice! Looking forward to your posts with pics being a plus. We are on Harmony next May.
  20. We were on the Liberty last month, but spent most of the time relaxing and not exploring the ship. As we were getting off we saw another bar and some place called "On Air". LoL Make sure to see Derek Lewis in the Hoof & Claw pub on deck 5. We REALLY enjoyed his Adult DayCare show nightly from 9:30 until late.
  21. The good, the bad and the ugly. Good: The wife gave me the "thumbs up" to go. Bad: The solo inside cabins are now sold out. Ugly: The price for me to get an outside solo is $1600 and this is before airfare. :( For another $150 (including the single sup) I can get a VB with double C&A points. Normally I would not sweat (too much) the $1600 considering it's the group cruise, but it's too clo$e to our 9 night Navigator in Nov 2017.
