This is not true! BOFA 's in bed with "the enemy", namely RCCL. BOFA does NOT issue the credit, getting "the money back on your card right away". Rather, they change the statement amount due, but it still shows the disputed amount as being owed. I have disputed a little over $3k with BOFA.

You are correct! I filed a claim as well with RCCL BofA mid June and I'm waiting still for them to review the evidence I mailed.

Today is July 18. I still haven't received any refund or activity on my RCCL BOFA card.

I too "re-priced" cruise planner items I purchased for (2) bookings. After having a long...on hold....explain again....on hold conversation with RC and got all except for $503.86 refunded which RC said they already gave it back to me. I filed a claim through RCCL BofA Card mid June.  Called the other days after mailing "hard copies" of proof of the purchases for each booking number...and I'm still waiting for them to review the documents which could take up to 90 days. My advice is to get a supervisor involved for all refunds with RC.  At this point I'm sick with disappointment and awaiting for the next round of cancellations. Good Luck getting anyone to care.

Cancellations onboard do happen.  Just go the shore excursion desk right away before they get really busy.

Personally, I'd use trip advisor to search for a similar excursion from a 3rd party.  Many 3rd parties offer the same excursion to RC as well as the public and often for less than RC charges.

@melski94 Very True.  I have used "Viator" for shore excursions and they were just as professional as RC shore excursions. @Mljstr I also believe you can get a discount for your first time you use them. Just be mindful of the times you are at the port and see if the excursion works into your port timeline.  Have Fun! :79_smiley_cat:

My wife and I are sailing on the Symphony September 5th.

What is the best price people have seen on the Deluxe Beverage Package?

When we sailed on the Freedom last year we got $44/day pp.

@CurtisM Hang in there. The current "WOW sale (2/5 to 2/13) is only for cruises from February 15, 2020 through August 31, 2020 and certain ships as well.  More than likely there will be another "WOW" sale before your departure date for the drink packages.  I always secure mine on "Black Friday" but not all my other family members have so I'm watching for others and will post as soon as I see the next "WOW" sale.  You can always purchase it now, then cancel and repurchase.  On board the ship the rates will usually be higher.

I saw Mats new blogpost about the new Cruise Planner Sale when it went live a couple of hours ago.

We're sailing on Harmony on the 23rd this month and I had previously purchased The Key and soda packages for the family (two kids, two adults). Been talking with the wife about getting us the Deluxe beverage package but I never did.

    Until today ???

I mean, we spent roughly $1000 on The Key and Soda packages and I refunded everything and ibstead got us:

    - 2 deluxe beverage packages (~$55/person/day)

    - 2 refreshments packages (~$17/person/day)

    - 4 voom internet devices (~$30/day)

It all worked out to roughly $1400 and I feel that the extra 400 is nothing compared to the value I feel we're getting from the beverage packages. I bought The Key solely for the included internet, nothing else is of real interest to us there, so this worked out fine.

I also found myself smiling when I saw the price for the coco beach club which today was at ~$180 per person, we snagged it at $40 per person ?

See ya onboard in 2.5 weeks ???

@TotalF Great Job on your savings. Have fun on Harmony. We sail Oct 2020 on this ship for the first time. Thank so much for posting the "WOW" sale information so others may save too. You wont regret getting the drink packages! :79_smiley_cat:

    @Planaholic Welcome

I, like all the other posters said, check regularly. I caught the classic soda and refreshment package so cheap for black Friday, I regret not booking it for everybody in my group. It seems this sale applies more heavily to bookings up until August. My next RC cruise is October, I am sure an Easter or Tax day special will bring down prices any most of the things I want.  You could always book now if the price is agreeable and then cancel and re-book if the price lowers in the future.

@Planaholic Welcome! You will find a lot of great information here.  @Ampurp85 I will also be cruising Oct 2020 Harmony of the Seas.  Got my drink packages Black Friday and I'm waiting for the next "WOW" sales for the rest of the wedding party cruisers that didn't jump on the sales.  I'll be checking those dates you suggested as well.  I'm the MOB (mother of the bride) and a huge "planner" too.  I will definitely be throwing it all out there when the next "WOW" sale is announced.

Wish that was true last Black Friday. It does vary based on your sailing so our experience could be completely different than yours.

I just saw a post on the Royal Caribbean Brides and Grooms FB Page - RC is going to be offering savings on excursions and hopefully drink packages from 2/5 to 2/12.  I will be keeping a "weather eye" out for any deals during this time. Who's with me and why is the RUM gone?! :80_smile_cat:

Thanks for reminding me @CruisingKitty! Apologies for the delay; things have been wild since coming back! (Returning to work, adopting kittens, legal paperwork, etc ?)

Everything went off fabulously and without a hitch! Our coordinator met with us the night before, had us double check all the documents for spelling, and went over our package choices with us to make sure everything was still good. They even took my tiny selfie stick/Bluetooth tripod to get it set up the night before so there was no surprise with it the next day ?

It was just the two of us so very low key, but that was exactly how we wanted it. It was perfect for us!

Our photographer was also fantastic and captured every big moment! I'm so thankful to the entire Royal Caribbean team for making our day so incredibly special. ❤️

And everyone on the ship was so kind, stopping us to congratulate us even days after because they recognized us ?

Best wishes for the upcoming wedding as well!!!

@Selestyl OMG! I'm so glad it all worked out perfectly for your special day! The photo's are amazing and y'all look super happy! You look so beautiful and your bouquet is to die for gorgeous.  Thanks for getting back to me on your big day and congrats to the both! All my best...MOB Cruising Kitty! :80_smile_cat:

Thank you so much! I'll definitely update after the wedding ?

We are all anxiously waiting for the update. I'm the MOB and we have been in the planning stages since April 2019 for a Oct 2020 wedding "Vows at Sea" aboard the Harmony in the Dazzles Venue.  Our land coordinator has been "on-point" fantastic to work with thus far and has answered all of our questions as well.  We are scheduled for the ship tour this month and hopefully we will be meeting with the on-board coordinator for our cruise.  I have also discovered a FB Page (Royal Caribbean Brides and Grooms) that has been an instrumental place for information, photo's and advice.  @twangster - Let me know if your also attending this cruise.  It's going to be a blast!  We bring the party with us. Congrats on your wedding @Selestyl I'm hoping it was EPIC! :79_smiley_cat:

No..chat is only currently available on Harmony and Allure.

Going on the Harmony Oct 2020 with a moderate Wedding Party (35) and this feature will help for keeping in touch with others.  Can you tell me how this will work for our "shipmates" so I can help others plan ahead? :79_smiley_cat:

  11. Really?! Aren't you on vacation? Stuff as much as the plastic laundry bag will hold for a flat rate price and it all comes back clean and folded for you. That's a deal in my book.  I'm not bring laundry detergent...sitting with my clothes....guarding then against walking away...etc.  Get the picture? It's a Win Win in my book! I love this service and use it every cruise. :79_smiley_cat:

  12. Welcome first time cruiser! I like all of the creature comforts from home.  So I will pack one of those wall plug that have a couple of USB Ports and a couple of extra regular plugs.  I have rechargeable toothbrushes and long hair (styling tools needed to tame the mane). Also I bring a "pop-up" clothes hamper for those dirty items that I will "stuff the bag" for a flat rate and let the cruise personnel launder and return to the room all clean, folded etc. I love getting a magnetic door sign since we are always celebrating something on every cruise to let me know which stateroom is mine (they all look the same). You can bring a couple of magnetic hooks to hang a few things from the ceiling. If your stateroom is an interior room, bring a nightlight to help navigate your way in the dark if you require it.  I always bring a Tervis or Yeti for water in the middle of the night.  Shampoo & conditioner! Pepto chewable, tums for those ultra rich meals your tummy is not used to. You get the drift. An iPad with Netflix movies already downloaded for those moments you recharging your batteries or just having a movie on while getting ready for dinner. Sunblock! Of course if you forget anything the ship will have these items ready for purchase in case you forget anything.  I'm sure there are many other things that I just couldn't think of just remember you are on vacation and look over your Cruise Compass daily to see the events you don't want to miss out on. Have a great time! :79_smiley_cat:

I have been going on Royal Caribbean cruises for 15 years and have been on 53 cruises. Also I live in Ft. Lauderdale and I hate to tell you this but for the past 15 years during the months you are mentioning there is only been 1-2 ships either leaving out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. That year if you want a cruise during that time period you have to leave out of Miami and go on Symphony. Reason for that is Oasis is going to NJ for the summer, Allure is going to Europe for its big dry dock, and Harmony will be in port Canaveral. All the other ships that are in Ft. Lauderdale during Nov-Apr all move to their homeports for the summer which are either in Europe or Alaska.. This is done every year so I am little confused why your confused? I mean no disrespect but like I said this is done every year lol. Yes I will admit usually there is Allure in Ft. Lauderdale and then a boat in Miami but this can't happen that way because Anthem is getting a dry dock so they had to move Oasis to NJ for the summer..

I normally do not cruise during the "hurricane season" so I guess I have not paid that much attention to the schedule during those months. I'm trying to help my daughter plan her wedding and she was set on an Oct 2020 time. I have been waiting for the Phase II Caribbean Schedule to be released, thinking all-the-while they will have the Fort Lauderdale dates included. So this is why I'm Frustrated & Confused.  :85_scream_cat:  She is certainly going to be quite he "Bridezilla" when I have to inform her that they are NEVER going to have dates for this month & year from THAT PORT. I really wish someone had chatted me up the last time I mentioned it when I joined this blog. Thank you for sharing your vast cruising knowledge with me. Clearly I'm not a diamond...only a diamond in the rough.

How do you know what is new for the Caribbean cruises? I've been searching and can't find anything different than yesterday (clearly I'm not looking at the right things though)

Never mind, I figured it out.

Can you show me where you found anything leaving Fort Lauderdale, FL from June - October 2020? It has been like this FOREVER!

  15. There are STILL NO itineraries leaving out of Fort Lauderdale, FL for the months of June, July, August, September, October 2020!!! Are they NOT going to have ANY ships leaving this port? Is Hurricane Season scaring them THAT much!? Someone tell me what happened to this port and WHY aren't there any cruises from Fort Lauderdale at all for this timeframe? Caribbean Phase II Release?! I have been waiting for this?!! NOT HAPPY!  :40_rage:
